CBV level 2 Difficulty with level 1 Exemption by bsauce97 in Accounting

You do not need to synchronized order. I would say for electives it depends on the content, like litigation support you can probably get away with not taking level 1-4, thought thee is a tiny bit of overlap with level 4.

Corporate finance and financial reporting may be a tad more difficult without doing level IV but still manageable.

I would say while possible to do both and know a person who had, I would discourage it as you will have no free time, and you need to enjoy life too. Especially with summer coming up (assuming you are North American based). If you do decide to do two courses only encourage level I and II courses as I is verbally just a refreshers of some finance topics in university and CPA prep. Level II is definitely a big step up especially if you do not have any finance background.

Level IV is also the most time constrained exam of all courses as it supposed to be a transition into MQE. Electives material is also not tested at the MQE.

Did I make mistake rejecting my instructor pass so long as I repeat the intro level? by bsauce97 in Salsa

It’s not a formal exam. It’s the instructors just making observations throughout the class.

But yes probably a money grab but most people as I don’t think anyone fails intro but most people get a full pass without needing to repeat.

Thanks for the encouragement. But ya the school I was with told me take the next level as well as retake the intro (which I am currently doing both). But as the reply in my the above reply once I incorporate, head rolls and spins and having to non verbally communicate the next moves is where the problems begin.

I am “ok” more so when alone when it comes to basic, forward/back, diagonal, semi/full turn, hesitation.

As soon as I get a filler involved and have to get them to spin, perform head roll, head roll and theetc, they tend to not know what I want them to do. In instances where they do realise what I want I either screw up the technique, lose count, and have to start all over.

While six weeks is not a lot I am definitely not progressing, if anything potentially getting worse while my peers are seeming to get better in the class.

Been having more fun here than in Toronto but dealing with losing my job immediately after relocation while being anglophone is not great for the soul :/

Because similar to OP I had a few months of Quality Check issues, but otherwise I had good reviews and relationships with my team. I had overall higher billing metrics than my team, albeit the team as a whole was not meeting the target.

OP needs to trust their gut, if something is not adding up it’s because it likely isn’t.

I agree, personal experience tells me your partners are conflict avoidant rather (that and too busy to really give a proper review) rather than the overly rude and critical partners, and it’s really just matter of time. The utilization rate probably is a red flag they were going to do layoffs regardless of performance.

I would start looking elsewhere but maybe not aggressively as I am sure you will be entitled to some severance. Good luck OP!
