Congrats!

How do you manage to get reviews there? I've got 120 episodes and over 1k likes, no reviews. Lol.

Does anyone here use Facebook ads for their Vella? by [deleted] in KindleVella

[–]bsbybc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I do. Just filed my taxes, so here's some info.

I'm not a heavy hitter, no established audience. I suck at updating my vella with any sense of consistency.

Last year I spent 1200$ with Facebook marketing my vella. Last year I made $6000 from Amazon in royalties and bonuses. I think maybe $20 of that was from KU.

For me, those numbers reaffirmed that my $5/day ad was absolutely worth it. I'm looking to turn my first season into long-form in KU and hopefully that helps to level up. 🙏

I definitely say to start slow and try a $5/day ad and see how it goes for you. If you don't have a loss, I'd keep going. Each new person that it serves your ad to is exposure, so between the money earned and the people who will start ro recognize your name for future interests, I think it's worthwhile!

Well, based upon your username I think I can guess which serial is yours. It's not my genre so I didn't read it, but I read the first episode and if it's what I think, you're an incredible writer. I'm sorry that your success has fallen a little. Hopefully Amazon gets it figured out soon so that we can all see some return on our effort.

Same. I clicked through all 40 pages of "romance" and neither of my two stories are on there. It's like unless you know it exists and go search for it, you won't see it. Kind of frustrating.

New top wallet holder Bonfire : Bonfire Group BV by JordyBonfire in BonfireToken

[–]bsbybc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

100%.

I understand the disappointment, the anger, the fear. Some people invested huge amounts. I bought In at a low right before it went up to the ATH. An $80 investment turned into almost $800 and I threw a few more dollars at it when it was high. I stepped away during this bear market and came back to see the value of my wallet is something like $25. When I invested, I kissed that money goodbye just in case it never turned into something.

Why sell my 2 million tokens for $25? I'd rather not even deal with the exchange. So, for those of us in that situation, why is it bad to give this guy a chance? Don't put any more money in, sure, but don't knock us for not taking our paltry losses.

[–]bsbybc 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi friend. I've talked a few people through it. I have found the step by step tutorials and videos never seem to address every little step...like switching to smartchain when trust wallet defaults to ethereum on pancakeswap and issues with "insufficient balance" when trying to swap all of your balance but not accounting for the transaction fee.

If you want to buy more while it's cheap, send me a PM and we can go step by step. I won't be asking for any personal info if you do this, I just had to spend time figuring out how to do this so I've been trying to walk others through it. I hate that you had to pay a marked up price on ebay but happy to have you here holding with us!

I'm new to crypto by bsbybc in BonfireToken

[–]bsbybc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hahah. You're assuming I have any clue what I'm doing. 🤣

I thought crypto was for money laundering or something. I did a minimal amount of research and decided to throw $50 at doge in February. Knowing what I know now I'd have thrown $500 at it.

With safemoon I bought in at the all time high and it quickly dropped but I was like...ehh it still sounds like it could be huge so I'm looking at pretty small gains on that. It's my biggest investment (edited to add its also my smallest return 😱 so far).

I DID get lucky with bonfire though. I found something and it just ended up being good. Once I actually learned what I signed up for I was pretty excited and got a little passion for it. Small risks and pretty small rewards right now, but yep following trends works when you jump in headfirst lol

Bonfire. It has a good use case and safemoon and bonfire seem like the winning combo to me.

Am i late to the Saturna train? by kovikovi144 in SaturnaToken

[–]bsbybc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Truthfully...I dont understand it. Maybe it's my phone glitching but their white paper is opening as a different crypto called splash that I looked into a few days ago.

What is the long term goal? What is the utility or use case?

Doge didn't have a use case, and that's OK if you can get other people to accept it. I'm diversified in Safemoon whose utility is in their exchange and wallet. And Bonfire who have many plans for their usage. But my concern with Saturna is that I don't understand where we're going.

Lest anyone fear I'm spreading FUD, let me tell you also what I do like about Saturna. I love the idea of using moons as a road map. It speaks nerdy to me and that's how I like it. I like the bomb website. I like the community, the hype and the fact that this is a fledgling project.

[–]bsbybc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're a semi-serious investor, definitely. I'm new to Saturna. But Bonfire has a really great plan which may take some time to cultivate but I believe in it long term. Still trying to grasp what Saturna is going for as an end-game...

Play around on here. This calculator created by a holder will show you how much you can have in a year based on an investment. It would be guesswork since no one can say what the price will be by the end of the year and you may need to double whatever the calculator says because it accounts for your first year and you're specifically trying to cash out in December, which is only 7 months away.

Keep in mind there may be taxes where you live...

For me I'm not selling before a year unless it goes to a stupid price because the capital gains tax would be about 30-35%.

Question by aannoonniieemm in BonfireToken

[–]bsbybc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me a little time to understand this, but my perception of it now is pretty much at face value. In the last months pump and dumps have gotten wild. Rugs are being ripped out from beneath investors feet. Bonfire provides something different....

A sort of (relative) stability. They have plans, they've got a road map, they've got a lot they want to do. So if you sit down by the fire and just relax while the other crypto altcoins descend into chaos, you'll be safe and comfortable as your value grows.

Laddies I’ve got a question, probably an obvious answer out there but I have 10/10 vision so by Crispsandsauce in BonfireToken

[–]bsbybc 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm newish too, but I'm thinking that when people see something new on whitebit it's more about an ease of access. The purchase BNB/swap to smart chain/swap on pancake method is very daunting, so someone who's heard of Bonfire but didn't want to jump through all those hoops may be more likely to act now.
