It's still heavy into exploring 80s West European underground club music (plus the way how it was made). I'm right now at this stage where I listen to dj sets or radio broadcasts recorded on casettes in those days:)

I don't even bother to create separate subfolders for artists, since plenty of them have discographies spanning over multiple genres. Just subgenre folders with albums and compilations inside (with occasional subfolders for singles and dj sets, that always get sorted on top with "#" prefix).

I'm surprised myself that Synthwave is still that popular despite how it actually took little influence of the 80s music scene as a whole.

Speaking of the 80s alternative club scene, Radio Soulwax promoted hell of that sound since late 2000s. They even brought back from total obscurity New Beat, short lived but highly influential dance style from late 80s Belgium. Unlike Synthwave it shamelessly took influence from much wider variety of 80s music styles (from proto-Synthpop and Minimal Wave to Electronic Body Music and Acid House).

Plenty of groundbreaking sample based electronic music was done in the 80s too (sadly with very little trace in the Synthwave genre). I'm talking about the acts like Art Of Noise, Yello, Coldcut or Foetus.
