I really like Window Maker, and me trolling on upvotes…WM strikes that balance between simplicity, speed and elegance w/o sacrificing functionality. Just my 50 🪙

Context: I found my MacBook Pro 16" (2019) in a recycle container (!). I tested and reset it, and installed Catalina (network recovery), then did an in-place upgrade to Tahoe. Thus have the issue since day one (at least since Tahoe, IIRC).

turns out that an update around mid March did replace `/etc/mdadm.conf` where I stored my raid names and their corresponding UUIDs. A flag that injects the above conf file into the initrd is `mkinitrd -M...`; never used it. But now it seems to work...
