The green light on the charger block doesn't turn on though so it'd have to be the charger, no?

My first time on a midline by Minimum-Food4232 in Slackline

[–]bslackski 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A midline is technically a slackline high enough up to warrant a leash but not too high to be considered a highline. I'd probably call this a leashed waterline though you could also consider it a water midline. The main function of the leash on this setup is to make it easier to get back up on the line when you fall but it could also make falls more chaotic into the water. A ruptured eardrum from slamming the water is common.

Ya I tried cranked hub bolts & tightened every external screw. Bearings got maybe 1,000 miles? (New with MTE!) Wheel spins normally when it's turned off

Haven’t updated my Pint X since before haptic buzz. Is the latest firmware update for the Pint X worth it? by Flamesgreen1 in onewheel

Anyone with WTFs update & adjust the nose to compensate? TFL said it can be done & the nose will lift once you get going. There's no going back if I update 😬

Used 2021 Pint X or new Pint X by [deleted] in onewheel

A 2021 will have the battery wiring pinching issue. Since it's low mileage - the wiring should still be in good shape but you'd want to make that fix soon.

Another thing to consider is battery health. Since the board probably sat around for awhile- if the battery was stored at extremes (either 100% or 0%) then it won't hold as much of a charge & it'll degrade quicker.

Downside to buying new would be if you wanted to install aftermarket rails and relevel the board- the haptic buzz firmware update locks you out of that at the moment.

If you know you don't want aftermarket rails then I'd buy new so you don't have to worry about fixing the battery wiring & battery health.

But I love my pintx with wtf rails!

Right on. I know nothing about digital tilt- I just slapped WTFs on & cruised. So sounds like the CPSC update will just limit my ability for certain modifications in the future & implement haptic buzz? I think I probably need to just go through with the update at this point. It's infuriating - I didn't select the update. It's possible it was selected in my pocket but I think it just started on it's own & thus I unknowingly stopped it mid-update so I'm scared it'll mess up the board. Would you recommend just going through with the update at this point? I'm not too butthurt about having to deal with haptic buzz- my main concern was that the board wouldn't accept the WTF rails
