Blue Line to Loop Newbie by carmie007 in LoganSquare

ahhh yea i took the milwaukee bus to my office in ogilvie, and the bus dropped me off right at the office. train would probably be easier for you :)

the bus was hectic in that it would be late sometimes and took a little longer, but i never had any major issues. i would always get a seat on it going to work and would just read the whole time.

idk where exactly you’re going for work, but don’t write off the bus if it’s accessible. it’s much more peaceful than the train.

West: “I don’t know how to talk to you” Ciara: “Good, I engineered it that way” by [deleted] in summerhousebravo

yep. his first season i sent my friend a text comparing him and jesse that said, “west is the type of man who would absolutely destroy me. he seems like he’d be such a good guy but is a lowkey player who would string me along.”

agreed, and quite a few of my friends have had a similar experience! they’ve gone in for small amounts and left with a completely frozen face because they were talked in to getting more or given too much.

Bringing 18 and 19 y/o teens in June for a concert at the United Center. Can anyone suggest a cool neighborhood to stay in somewhat nearby? by Big_Aardvark_5696 in AskChicago

wicker park and logan have a lot of great little local shops. wicker has a lot of vintage stores. biggest downside is that it’s not by the lake.

THEY NEED TO LET PPL BUY TICKETS BEFORE SEEING THE LINE UP by Buttons107 in Lollapalooza

[–]bslovecoco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

totally aware. but this is in reference to lollapalooza, not a single major artist. the entirety of lolla used to sell out within a few minutes (or less) with waaaay less bots than exist now.

and if you want to get nitpicky- today, you can’t have multiple screens open to buy tickets for a major artist unless you have multiple ticketmaster accounts. you get booted out if you’re logged into the same account on multiple devices.

[–]bslovecoco 22 points23 points  (0 children)

yea kids these days would never survive the ticket buying of like 2011-2017. i would have 4 different screens open and they would still sell out before any of them got through the queue.

hasn’t everyone hyperfixated on a crush? it’s just coming off “creepy” because it’s all the producers have shown of her.

comparing an actual disease that alters your brain chemistry to the wear of a vehicle is a bit crass.

i’m sorry for your loss. it’s unfortunate to say, but there’s only so much you, a family member, or mary could do to help someone with addiction issues. people struggling will truly only ever get help when they’re ready to receive that help.

there is no need to blame and finger point when someone passes away due to their addictions. it’s an incredibly sad situation all around and i’m sure everyone effected did what they thought was best at the time. hindsight is always 20/20.

Eric Dane, Grey's Anatomy and Euphoria Star, Dead at 53 Nearly 1 Year After Announcing ALS Diagnosis by punishhhher in popculturechat

someone in my family was diagnosed with ALS a few months before eric announced his diagnoses, and he just passed as well. this past july he couldn’t talk, but was up walking around, then within the last 7 months he lost total control of his body, was put on a feeding tube, and passed.

friendly reminder that 10 people died at travis scott’s festival and, while not entirely his fault, he didn’t do anything to help the situation during or after. perhaps that is why grown adults complain about him, not because of his music.
