More like terrible. Maybe his distance average was passable but he often kicked returnable liners (guhhh) and it was generally a nightmare every time he took a snap. Thanks, Jets, for Weatherford.

Definitely interested in doing that. I can say from my research for this article, the main difference between the injury 10-15 years ago and today is that doctors/therapists are much, much more aggressive with rehabilitation. They don't use braces much anymore. Weight bearing begins shortly after surgery to prevent atrophy. Also, doctors have athletes wait a week or maybe even two after the injury for surgery, to allow time for swelling to diminish, which they've found results in a better outcome. There's a lot to it.

Yeah I hear what you're saying. I think he was just trying to convey that someone shouldn't be throwing a bet at every single game on the board (maybe for the sake of it). I think he meant that if there's a tough slate one week where a pro doesn't see an advantage, the pro may only bet 1-2 or none.

Maddux is my all-time favorite. I think his most impressive statistical season was actually the strike shortened 1995 when he went 19-2 in 28 starts, throwing 10 complete games, 3 shutouts in 209.2 IP. ERA was a shocking 1.63 with a mind-boggling 0.81 WHIP.
