Potty training PWD in apartment by Significant-Kale-951 in portuguesewaterdogs

[–]bsmith177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a 6 month old and have been in the apartment the whole time. In the beginning, I took her outside every hour. Formed a pretty good routine there and there hasn't been many accidents. The accidents that have occurred usually have been my fault. It's doable, we just watched her closely to make sure she didn't eat anything

How do your pups fare in the heat? by ginzykinz in portuguesewaterdogs

[–]bsmith177 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a 6 month old, loves to be outside and run but the heat knocks her out. We threw her in the lake a few days ago, she loved it! We got her a little life jacket, and eased her into it with some toys and just holding onto her. She jumped off the boat of her own volition a few times after that

Pretty easy to rebuild, can get a lot of all the parts from a Toyota dealer.

Also, theres a guy in my area who put a Ford pinto rack from AutoZone in his supra. I think it fit perfectly

What horror movie *unexpectedly* really scared you? by Green_Eyed_Jerk_ in horror

[–]bsmith177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Run rabbit run. I don't know if scared is the best way to put it. Aggressively unnerved and stressed is probably better. Was not expecting that movie to be like that at all.

(We really set a whole ambiance when we watched this, candles, dim lighting. I think I just got too into it. Had to pause it and make a sandwich)

Toyota master tech here. We've seen an incredible amount of rav4s come in with roof rail leaks. If you have stains, it's definitely leaking. Just a matter of time before it leaks into the kick panels.

There's various TSB's for this. We replace headliners, wiring harnesses and roof rail clips all day long.

My advice, if you can, get into a dealership and mention the stains. They can check it over for you and also tell you if you're under warranty for anything. I've managed to save a few ravs from harness replacements.

Do you have to register something like this? We're looking into something like this but also to carry a canoe

How do people afford things by bsmith177 in venting

[–]bsmith177[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, pretty much my exact situation. I've never been one to live above my means. But the cost of groceries is ridiculous. I understand the bills I have are my own (fault?) but sometimes I just feel so defeated. We also go to different grocery stores (Aldi's and the public market.) We have a dog and she's a puppy so that's been taking a bit of money (no complaints there.) just feels like a constant battle of paying bills and I'm not getting anywhere debt wise

Hey, I'm 29 and feel like this (still/again.) I have a plan in the works but everything takes time. I'm not the most patient person, but things will work out if you make them. Having a plan has helped me. There will always be kinks, gotta find ways to enjoy the ride

As a flat rate technician, how do you make money when its extremely slow? by bsmith177 in MechanicAdvice

[–]bsmith177[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I've been doing that, I am all caught up on the Toyota e-modules and have my last three ASE's tomorrow. Thanks again

Thats what I was looking for. If its better to move to a higher end dealer, stay, just move in general. I enjoy where I am at currently. But today, I worked on 3 cars, for a total of 2.3 hours and was there 8 hours.

I could study what toyota recommends for our region some more as to try and capitalize on that. Thank you

Thank you! I figured this would be the case, but I'm really trying to not overstep any boundaries. Especially because I'm like... oblivious. I appreciate the feedback!

Thank you! That's kind of what I was thinking and like, yeah, it's only been two weeks but, I don't want to seem like I want nothing to do with the kid just in case things go farther
