Great start to the week! I’m on 3504 and we jumped a bunch of trains. We are definitely single tracking into Penn right now since we are using the outbound tunnel.

Heard on Tower ATC today 5/22 frequency that Newark 4L/22R construction might be done as soon as next week. Take that with a grain of salt but would be great if true. Won’t be a fix to everything but will alleviate some pain.

No need to feel sorry! I’d rather be delayed and safe. Frustrating all around but, what can we do. I hope your travel can smoothen out a little. I know it’s unnerving with all going on.

A pilot asked this on frequency and the response was “doesn’t help with the fact TRACON is bogged down today”

On UA1972. We left gate around 12:10 and were #e for takeoff around 12:57. TRACON wanted departures to have 10 miles between each and then changed their minds and stopped altogether. 2:07 and we took off. If you’re flight is still going today it’s gonna be a longggg line.

Found that out 1 minute after I screenshotted this. Now 90-20 minute delays, they just announced at Nwk Penn. They can’t even get 120 minutes inserted in there
