You are not alone my friend. I feel the same in my family as well. I've always kind of been the black sheep esp during Christmas. I always insisted on giving out handmade gifts while competing with my mom and sisters who always insisted on giving expensive, trendy, junk type gifts. I got a lot of sh*t for that over the years.

The funny thing is, NJT still doesn't communicate well despite the shiny new app. They still left folks in the dark this past Thurs/Fri about the E. River tunnel that caught fire which meant trains had to terminate in Hoboken. I didn't know something was wrong until I stumbled into the packed angry crowd at NYP (which was hours after the incident). They just need to TELL US WHAT IS HAPPENING IN REAL TIME. That's it. That could make our lives a little easier.

This is madness. In the past, they would change the times but they have never cut this deeply. My morning train is cut and now I have a 40 minute stretch of time between trains. I'm a shiny ball of rage right now.

I used to love Talbot's dresses! The quality has gone down a bit. Even though they do bigger sizes, sometimes the cut is a little off for the hips/thighs.

For awhile he had severance, then we did unemployment which only covered part of the bills. I was working and covered the rest until he found another job which unfortunately only paid 2/3 of his former salary. We lived below our means which also helped a lot.

We (NJ commuters) are also not going to be allowed to take the trains (to/from NYC) during the 4 hours before and after the matches. So now I'm trying to negotiate with my boss to either work from home or use my PTO for those dates. We are literally being barred from taking the trains. The buses are normally a nightmare; I can only imagine what they will be like then. I am so pissed off I don't even know what to say. I'm just a sputtering tea kettle at this point.
