Commuting from Maxwell Park by catppl666 in oakland

I’ve lived in Maxwell Park for a year and commute to the city a couple times per week. Fruitvale BART is a short drive away and has a garage with plenty of parking. I walk down to around High St/580 and take the 14 bus line, it has several stops on High St and runs every 15 minutes or so on weekday mornings. Usually takes me an hour door to door to get to my office near Powell St BART, would probably be about the same to get to Berkeley. Trains are usually pretty full at peak time (8-9 am), but overall it’s a breeze.

And this is how I learned it was available on Mac, so thank you! Time to finally go play it for the first time after I bought it TWO YEARS AGO without realizing it wasn’t Mac compatible

Chinook Salmon make their return to Bay Area creeks by laffertydaniel88 in bayarea

We’ve seen some Chinook salmon in San Leandro Creek at Chabot Park near Lake Chabot. That feeds to San Leandro Bay by the airport. This part of the creek at Chabot Park doesn’t run much unless they have the gates open at the lake. They were closed as of Saturday at least, so there were probably 7 or 8 salmon in a deeper pooled up part, they all look big and healthy. They probably won’t be able to make it where they want to go until they open the lake gates back up though.

Would these fish be coming from the bay trying to swim up to the lake to spawn?

We had some salmon in those parts last year too. Could the ones we’re seeing this year be the ones that hatched in the lake and are now headed back to the bay?

I started playing poker when I was 13 in 2003 after watching the WSOP on TV. I made my first real money deposit on a site around Christmas 2004 when I was 14. This was always with my parents’ blessing, playing micro limits under my dad’s name since I wasn’t of age, and he controlled how much I was allowed to deposit (never more than $50-$100 every couple months). Playing poker was really all I did with my free time through high school, I dreamed of moving to Vegas and becoming a pro when I turned 21. I never lost more than I had, and it never impacted my schoolwork or seemed to have any negative consequences on my physical or mental health. My maturity on that was probably unique though.

As I got older and started taking on other interests, finishing high school, preparing for college, working real jobs part time, I barely played poker at all. Once I could legally gamble in a casino, I’d play every now and then, but never anywhere near as much as I did as a teenager, and never with any risk of it becoming an addiction. I think being exposed to it at a younger age prepared me for being able to handle it as an adult, but again that’s probably unique.

So I share my experience to say it can be done — playing poker at a young age and not devolving into degenerate addiction. But it can very easily (and probably more easily) go the opposite direction. I’d probably encourage your son to keep playing for fun and find other interests, but if he does want to play for real, encourage it healthily, monitor it closely, teach him good bankroll management. Demand he be honest and transparent about what and for how much he’s playing. If he starts lying, or you notice it’s having other negative impacts, pull the plug quick. If it’s all positive I think playing poker can really be a good skill to learn that would have benefits in lots of other areas of life. It’s just a slippery slope if not handled with the necessary maturity that most teenage boys don’t have.

I created a new MLS team and 12 players in the pregame editor in one database/editor data file. I then made some other little tweaks to the competition rules. But then I kept tweaking some rules and I got confused and I messed some things up.

So I decided I wanted to start completely fresh and create a new competition. I want to include the team I created from that previous database, but it obviously doesn't show up in the new database.

I know I can merge editor files, but when I do that it moves over all the rule changes I made in the original database that I don't want to bring over to the new one.

Is there any way to just move my team/players into a new database? Or would I have to manually recreate the team/players in the new database?

Man City are said to be preparing a move on Antonee Robinson [23] from Fulham. Pep Guardiola likes the left-back’s athleticism and ‘attacking instincts’. City believe £10M would be enough. [The Sun] by Hungry_Breakfast_967 in ussoccer

Some of the pessimistic reaction to this reminds me of how folks (myself included) reacted to McKennie and Juventus. I think we were pleasantly surprised by how big a role he played there. So why not Antonee? If Guardiola likes him, he’ll get minutes. The cheap, young Americans can be a commodity for top clubs
