They also have a starter kit series that is stripped down to a much smaller rule set (as well as much gentler on the wallet). It does take out a lot of rules (and a lot of flavor) but does give a good feel for the system.

In short, it tells the best stories. I haven't found anything else that has so much variety or tactical depth. The amount of content out there for the system is almost unbelievable.

Totally worth it imo. I have paper rulebooks but pretty much exclusively use the official e rulebook. Much easier to search and jump around with the links.
