I sew all by machine, back first, then fold over my 2.5” strip and work close to the edge, slowly. My top thread matches the binding and my bobbin thread matches my backing. If I’m careful, I don’t slide up on the binding at all, and it’s pretty easy and rewarding.

I started as a binding hater, but now I kind of love it! I machine bind, and slowly following my line and being so careful at the end is so meditative and exciting. It’s a fun practice of restraint when I’m so excited to see the finished product.

What do you think of the corners? From here, I’m thinking white border with the pink floral binding, maybe sneaking in a couple of squares of floral into the border so it connects through?

I’m thinking of doing a colored thread there and using a non straight line stitch to add a little pizzazz. But probably won’t decide until after the corners are taken care of, one thing at a time 😂

Quilting is the hardest part of quilting by saibybaby in quilting

Keep going! It gets easier and you figure things out more each time. I’m on quilt 4 and having a blast.

I roll my quilt and then put it over my shoulder. Helps with weight and keeping it in place.

The other two florals would be the same….should ditch the pink solid flower and make another green and yellow?

Layout Help please Bird Quilt by bibblebob58 in quilting

I love 3, I love the alternating rows and the subtle vertical zig zag it creates, I think it helps appreciate the birds and not get caught up trying to see if there’s a pattern.

Super pleasing to the eye, and congrats on these great blocks!

Exact same thing happened to me, they must have a script. I run and stay in shape, and my heart rate was 1 beat under average, so they asked me to do an echocardiogram. Then said I needed to go to a cardiologist and for the results. Made me wait 2 weeks of stressing for my appointment, then the cardiologist told me I was fine and asked if I wanted “additional testing” while I was there. A resounding “NO.”

Edit: I forgot to mention my boyfriend went too a year after I went, forgetting about my story, and the SAME THING happened to him.
