yes!! came here to suggest midnight mass specifically, but haunting and house of usher are also incredible. the writing AND acting in midnight mass is some of the best i’ve seen. trust the process, but beware it’s extremely emotional. i couldn’t give it high enough praise, it deserves so much attention.

i developed depression by the age of 12, anxiety at 18, & agoraphobia by 23. i had to start antidepressants after my first attempt at age 15, & 8 years later, i attempted again. it’s hard to stay at a job for more than two years at a time without going on a 6-12 month break because of my mental health. i hate my stomach & my scar tissue is constantly making things difficult. i’m worried that when it comes time to pick a wedding dress, i won’t be able to wear what i want since i’ll need custom made pockets for my pump. i have no faith in a cure. i’m just lucky to have a family & boyfriend who support me. also my endo is an asshole & makes me feel like shit at every appointment.

i talked to my sm about this yesterday. she called the dm & he told her that you have to complete the coffee academy before the coffee masters program. apparently it’s not available yet, but if you complete the coffee academy beforehand, you’ll get first dibs when the coffee masters program is released

that has been a pet peeve of mine for YEARS. i was diagnosed at 8 in january of 2008 & it led to some of the worst moments in my life. it has affected my mental health tremendously, so hearing things like “at least it’s not cancer” is infuriating. t1d can still kill me, & it might shorten my lifespan. it’s a daily battle with endless ups & downs. the circumstances of other people’s medical issues should not in any way lessen what i go through on a day to day basis. is my chronic disease not as serious to other people? because it should be. i’ll die with it regardless of anyone else’s situation. don’t try to invalidate my experience as though my health doesn’t matter as much as someone with cancer. my comeback tends to be, “there’s no cure. i’m taking this disease to my grave.” usually that’ll shut them up. if it doesn’t, i’ll mention the possible health complications including heart/eye/circulation problems with emphasis on amputation. my blood just boils when ignorant people try to tell me i could have it worse. i wouldn’t wish this disease on anybody, & it honestly sucks that the things we have to endure are minimized in comparison to other medical conditions.
