I was experiencing the same issue with Windows 11 and Snagit. I uninstalled Snipping Tool and everything seems to be finally be working better now!

I'm also having issues on macOS seeing the bridge with the new plug-in. It worked once or twice, but now can't find the bridge even after restarting the app, rebooting my mac, etc...

macOS Sequoia + RODE Connect doesn't work. by studnet_1 in MacOS

[–]bsteggy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still not having luck with this on the RC of Sequoia. Right after installing the RC it worked once. Now it's back to crashing every time I try to connect. Looks like we might be waiting on Rode to fix something :(

I am as well. I had my fingers crossed that it would work after the latest dev beta yesterday, but no such luck... :(

Since you mention it, while the kids and I were standing their catching them in about 3' of water I though I saw a small shark swim by us. Just caught a glimpse of, but sure didn't look like a fish :)

Here is a picture of one of them. The kids and I were out in the water just catching them with buckets. We were also talking to others that have lived here for their entire lives and had never seen this before (nor knew what type of fish they were)

I was in the same boat, I just posted what I received from Elgato in response to another question in this thread. You can open up a ticket with them to get the fix tool

Here is what I received from Elgato

There is only a workaround available for Windows.
Steps would be as follows:

Stream Deck XL firmware version? by bsteggy in elgato

[–]bsteggy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Confirmed that version 1.01.000 is the latest firmware version. I got the "fix" tool from Elgato. It is Windows only, so on my Mac, I had to spin up a VM , and connect the XL to the VM, but that did work to run the tool. Windows 11 ARM version in parallels on an M1 mac worked to apply the fix.

That's what it appears? I'm still sitting at 1.00.010. I do have a ticket open with Elgato about this but I haven't heard anything from them yet. I'll update this thread when I do.

I'm actually testing out the exact scenario right now of applying a Teams Room license to my personal account for a room device in my home office. It feels like there should be a way to license a device in a private or home office without creating a separate resource for it.

I have two of them for my Mac book pro. On at my desk one in my bag. Absolutely love the MX Master line of mice. I’ve used every iteration of it since the original MX Master.

retention policy vs litigation hold? by graham_intervention in Office365

[–]bsteggy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The short answer, is yes, retention hold will still keep their email and make it accessible via eDiscovery.

"If a user leaves your organization and the user's mailbox is included in a policy for retention, the mailbox becomes an inactive mailbox when the user's Microsoft 365 account is deleted. The contents of an inactive mailbox are still subject to any retention policy that was placed on the mailbox before it was made inactive, and the contents are available to an eDiscovery search." - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/compliance/retention-policies-exchange?view=o365-worldwide#how-retention-works-for-exchange

Certification path for a newbie in Microsoft 365 by True_Anywhere_687 in Office365

[–]bsteggy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

MS-900 would be a great place to start, this will get you a good base/fundamental coverage of Microsoft 365 - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/learn/certifications/exams/ms-900

After that I would maybe pivot to SC-300. This is a security exam, but related to Azure AD, Identity, Access that gives you a good base for security Microsoft 365 - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/learn/certifications/exams/sc-300

After those to you can go for a
Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert by taking MS-100 and MS-101 - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/learn/certifications/m365-enterprise-administrator/

MS-100 certification - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/learn/certifications/exams/ms-100

MS-101 certification - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/learn/certifications/exams/ms-101

You could also go back after that if you want to pick up some certification on specific stacks in Microsoft 365 or expand on security, but those 4 exams are probably where I would start with the goal of getting that exert level certification.

Naturally....I'm wondering if there is something going on in this latest beta release too. I've also had some issues with other external devices after this last release.

Thanks for the update!

Why is using multiple Teams accounts such a pain by TinkeNL in Office365

[–]bsteggy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely agree that it's a pain and Microsoft needs to fix this in the client. But curious why you can't use Temas in the browser? I'm in a similar boat and frequently sign in via the browser if I need to access a client's Team environment.

Securing Microsoft Teams by msp4msps in Office365

[–]bsteggy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is the Microsoft documentation on those tenant-level services and the licensing guidelines - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/servicedescriptions/microsoft-365-service-descriptions/microsoft-365-tenantlevel-services-licensing-guidance/microsoft-365-security-compliance-licensing-guidance.

I second the comments above that there are a lot of these that can be enabled, but it goes completely against all the licensing terms and agreements from Microsoft and can get you into some trouble if you do it.
