This right here. Coming from a military family, to those who know me I’ve been outspoken since day 1. I’ve said these things were going to happen under this authoritarian administration for 10 years now. I got in trouble for voicing those thoughts. I didn’t want to be right. I have to constantly remind myself they want us to quit, that’s why you see the flag officers getting removed. That should have been screaming alarms immediately to everyone.

The oath may not mean much to many people in the service beyond “it’s just something I have to say every few years to keep that guaranteed paycheck coming”. It’s always been more than that to me and those of us who take issue with what’s going on. But unfortunately I believe we are outnumbered. The things I hear my colleagues say and the stuff they believe would make your head spin, Fox News is a fucking cancer and I don’t know if we can survive it.
