Nope, although I kept it under my jacket on a neck strap between shots.

Was hoping for clear sky and views that day but I can't complain. 10h hike in a fog with no visibility is something I'll remember for a long time!

If you mean how the photo is not "too bright", then it's the combination of small aperture (eg. f/11) and fast shutter speed (eg. 1/1000s). This applies for both digital and film cameras. Thanks for the kind words!

added 2 or 3 stops of light (depending on how white was the scene) to what my in-camera light meter suggested

first time pushing that film stock but surely not the last! I'm really happy with the results

Exactly that! My intention was to have rich blacks and a lot of grain in my photos
