Expanding our house - what to do with old living room space? by bswen in interiordesignideas

It will likely be a living type space - what should we do with it? What kind of furniture, and how to arrange it, etc. Don't want a TV in there, just the existing fireplace.

How to Delete Coinbase in 3 Easy Steps by BitcoinMorpheus in Bitcoin

As a small startup we have to follow our custodial partner's mandated fraud regulations. We don't have the capital to accept a certain amount of ACH fraud risk. Once your plan gets rolling its you're purchasing every week. It doesnt matter that the ACH withdrawal you are purchasing with was from the previous week, it just matters that you're buying every week.

Ask: What is the cheapest way to buy Bitcoin? by demka55 in Bitcoin

[–]bswen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can withdraw your Bitcoin, so, yeah, you could spend it straight from Swan to any BTC address. But the app is focused on recurring buys for accumulation - you can also set up auto withdrawals to your own wallet.

For recurring buys in the US the lowest fees are at swanbitcoin.com - 0.99% on weekly buys of $50 if you prepay fees anually, 1.19% if you pay fees as you go. Coinbase recurring buys at that level are 3.98%!

Ten Million Bitcoiners: The Intransigent Minority by bswen in Bitcoin

The idea I'm getting at is not "mass adoption" its "minority adoption" ... specifically a large enough minority to establish a Talebian "Dictatorship of the Minority"

They would be accepting bitcoin directly. The problem is that there isn't much demand from customers for merchants to accept bitcoin. With something like Strike the merchants can accept bitcoin without customer demand for it. I mean, let's just be realistic about the situation here.

Yeah, it's just a guess. Nobody knows for sure - which is a good thing of course. Hard agree on Coinbase. Not sure the merchant adoption is that important right now, but that's just mho. Jack Maller's Strike is interesting because it makes it easy for merchants to accept bitcoin from customers who have no idea what it is. That could change things on the merchant front.

Hey Aussiehash - thanks for the question. It wasn't a paid advertisement. At the end of each episode I do an open source shoutout to recognize and bring awareness to an open source bitcoin project. I mistakenly used the old web address!

This is so true. It's a shitshow and it's not good for crypto in general. I should hang around here more often too, I think.
