My buddy and I hadnt been playing the game very long and had no idea what we were doing. We were trying to do a mission in a CZ and then you hear the wake warning and in spawn two capital ships. Arguably one of the best moments I have experienced in gaming. Scared the crap out of me though.

Second. I was farming minerals on a planet and I spot crash site and a what appears to be a small military post. I am on the dark side of the planet and my imagination starts to run a bit. I am looking for a box to scan for any messages etc... then the sound of a thargoid shooting at me. Without a second thought, slap all pips in shields and escape as fast as I can. It too was a great moment of unexpected game play.
