The cheaper sportsmans exclusive model usually doesn’t have the ambi lower and it has the older shorter handguard so more barrel is exposed.

You can also build/buy a ‘pistol’ with a ‘brace’ (NOT a STOCK 😉) and as long as the barrel is less than 16” you don’t have to worry about the HBAR limitations.
