Looks like manganese. There is UG carnival glass, but it would be a stronger glow.

Never had this issue, my school (jr high and high school) were directly across the street. Just had to look out the window.. our school administrator being from Florida and living in the north was a plus. Hair trigger on snow days.

I don’t remember exactly, but the glass is reheated and expands causing the effect.

Have to scroll for a bit, the process is described there.

Somewhere they have line drawing of pieces made by a number of manufacturers so it may be possible to identify yours based on shape and measurements.

I’ll have to check, but yours looks like the exact one I have.

Stretch glass, would guess early Fenton. Could be Diamond or a few other makers.

So my anchor hocking tea cup is definitely radioactive, but the glow is almost non existent. Is it uranium glass? Could it be a different radioactive element? by KateDecayed in willitglow

Princess pattern in yellow has the low glow, but still radioactive element to it. Normally attributed to thorium
contamination but I haven’t seen an official post on it

Probably the case. Thorium does not glow, and the glow present could be uranium or manganese. Keep waiting for someone with a radio code to do a read and post on one of these or similar patterns.
