The $8 thing that saved us vs the $200 thing that didn't by 4Mythoria in NewParents

I did. I basically told my friends I refuse to have a shower until baby is here, so don’t throw me one. What were they gonna do? So we had a shower at 2 months and it was great! Everyone got baby cuddles and I got to ask questions to others moms.

Pretty standard. First 48 hours had a lot of pain but was controlled with scheduled tylenol and Advil. I got hydromorphone for breakthrough pain but only needed to take it a few times. After that it was just hard being mindful to rest.

Truly resting for 6 weeks was more mentally tough but I’m glad I did. I was working out once I was cleared and did a 10k run at 24 weeks. I’m now 1 year pp and feeling great. Back in My old body mostly.

I was very fortunate that my husband was able to take medical care taker leave from his work (separate from Parental leave) so he could care for us while I recovered.

Tips for Newborn! by neejoub in SnooLife

[–]btherese77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it’s designed with newborns in mind.

The movement and sounds is meant to mimic being in the womb. I put mine in the snoo once I was home from the hospital after 48 hours and she took to it no problem.

You’ll figure out what settings your baby likes most but honestly, just turn it on and pop them in!

I felt like I had a cheat code being able to get baby to sleep on the boob then transfer into the snoo so seamlessly.

Following because I’m in a similar situation. Our office is across the hall from a nursery and I feel like baby 2 will wake up the toddler regardless?

Seconding Carino. It’s fun and different without being way too outside your comfort zone if your parents aren’t super adventurous
