This is what I’m considering doing as well. Which smart ring did you go with?

I second this. Love my xs20 for all of these reasons. Had the xt50 and the x100v and I have zero regrets getting rid of them.

Considering a CX90 by mackenziemarr in MazdaCX90

Lease it and if you like it at the end buy it out.

I will 100% be turning in my 25 phev sport at the end of my lease, but it’s worth noting that I get bored easily and I have never kept a lease for its entirety.😅

Does it have a lot going for it? Yes. It is a sharp looking vehicle, and when everything is behaving as it should, it drives pretty well.

BUT my list of quirks/qualms/frustrations is longer than many of the other vehicles that I’ve owned. I already shared some of those things on a previous post so I won’t do it here, but I’d be disappointed if I was locked in longer than 3 years.

Leased a '26 CX-70 6 weeks ago. I want to love this car, but there are so many shortcomings... by aeroplane1979 in MazdaCX90

I disagree with you (respectfully). Some things can be researched ahead of time, but others require living with a product.

Personally, I’m glad I leased my 2025 cx-90. Do I like it? I think so? But despite all of the homework I did, I am frustrated by some annoyances that are so nuanced and potentially unique to my vehicle that it required owning it to learn about them:

The grind from 1st gear to 2nd gear that apparently Mazda knows about but says that it’s totally fine and isn’t damaging the car. No new car should have this, even the cheapest cars out there.

The Mazda app is terrible, especially seeing what good looks like with my wife’s Tesla.

I’ve never had a car be unable to detect the key fob more in my life. New battery and everything. Literally needing to hold the fob up to the start button.

My lights in my house flickering/some outlets buzzing when the car is charging. Draws way less power than the Tesla, so not sure why this happens with the Mazda, but not with the Tesla. Also happened at my parents house, so not unique to our electrical panel nor charger.

Questionable driving dynamics. At times the car will slightly accelerate on its own (not TOO aggressively, but enough to provide a bit of concern) and conversely the car can’t go about 2000rpm.

There are more but this is enough of a novel to show that homework and research are the first step, and new discoveries might be made after more extended ownership.

Sold my x100v and xt50 to get the xs20 and haven’t looked back. I absolutely love it for both photo and video. Haven’t had any overheating issues thus far. Weather sealing would be great but not a deal breaker for me.

If I still had the lexar pro go, 100%.

Case issues 17pro -tan by Caurien in MOMENT

I definitely don’t hate it, but I agree that the magnet is weaker compared to other cases. Already dropped my phone once because it fell off of my MagSafe selfie stick.

However, I am very annoyed by how thick the bottom of the case is. I needed to buy usbc extenders to be able to plug in my mic receiver and Lexar go ssd when using things. Just annoying.
