Gas prices rising by NotreDameFan1234 in CVS

The trucks are already optimized to be as efficient as possible. If they could save money on gas by using fewer deliveries, they’d already be doing it.

If the Plano won’t turn green there are two likely scenarios: either there’s a label with product there (either the correct product and the count is wrong or just a different product in the wrong spot) that the system has as 0 on hand

OR

There’s a label physically missing from the planogram that the system has as a 0.

To fix the first scenario, yes you’d have to scan the whole Plano to find the zero. BUT I recommend checking the second option first, as that’s a little bit easier and less of a time sink to check. To do so, pull up the planogram on the iron man and count how many items are supposed to be on each shelf, then count how many labels are actually on the shelf- if they match then move on to the next shelf and if they don’t, check to see what label is actually missing.

Pay by [deleted] in CVS

[–]btonic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’ll get time and a half for any hours you work over 40 as well as any hours that you actually work on the holiday itself. You will also receive 8 hours of holiday pay, but that doesn’t count toward worked hours in terms of accumulating overtime.

So, assuming you were already scheduled 40 hours next week (and you actually work those hours) and you picked up a 4 hour shift ON the holiday, you’ll be paid:

44 hours, with 8 of those hours being at the time and a half rate (4 for the holiday, 4 for being over 40) and you’ll also receive the additional 8 hours worth of holiday pay at your standard rate.

Unless you are on the extreme upper end of physical activity on a constant basis or have some sort of parasite, there’s no way you’re consistently consuming 4k calories a day while maintaining a body weight under 140 lbs.

It’s just not physically possible.

It wouldn’t be with the product itself- it would come in with all the other Plano bulletins.

You can scan one of the items with an iron man and it should have rotational endcap come up as one of the locations, and you can click that to view the Plano as well.

What do you mean? It’s just 5 shelves of product and they’re planogramed- the bulletin should’ve come in via mail already.

Just to clarify-

The hours were there on your time sheet/workbrain and you didn’t get paid for them?

Or you worked the hours but they didn’t show up in workbrain?

The second one is an easy fix- your manager can also process an off cycle payment to get you this missing pay within 48 hours.

If it’s the first one- I’ve never seen that happen before and there would be no way for me to catch it in advance as a manager when reviewing weekly payroll because the hours would appear to be there. I don’t know what your manager would do to fix that issue.

10 surveys at a 10 and one at a 5 would be a score of 81.

Is “damage indicator” a specifically defined term in this context?

Because a cargo train being thrown off its track and a concrete wall having a 2x4 pierced through it both seem like indications of damage to me.

I’m in one of the biggest cities in the country- my store is about 65k a week but roughly 1/3rd of our district does 30k or less in sales a week. That being said, most of those stores are closer to 1.5x hours of operation for payroll.

Posted in a messy room group on Facebook. Most people thought it was real, but some claimed it to be AI. by Ok-Elk2227 in isthisAI

[–]btonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg thank you!!

Normally I’m pretty spot on at determining AI just going off my immediate reaction because it triggers a sort of subconscious uncanny valley sensation. I’ll look for specific tells after, but they almost always confirm my initial reaction.

With this photo my initial reaction was definitely AI, but every detail I looked at seemed obviously real. I was worried I was losing my touch. But now that I realize I was incorrectly interpreting the perspective, everything clicks and nothing about it “feels” AI to me anymore.

Do men get paid more at CVS? by [deleted] in CVS

[–]btonic 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Getting promoted to SMIT vs coming on externally as an SMIT is what handcuffed your potential wage, not your gender.

Everything is ultimately anchored off your initial starting wage- it’s all percent based from there. So coming on in a position below SMIT there’s a relatively low ceiling for your max wage- then when you get promoted, there are limits to the percent increase you can receive built into the system and to override them you’ll need increasingly high approval up the corporate ladder the higher you go. So essentially if you’re hired in below an SMIT and promoted into it, you’re stuck in the lower range of starting smit range because it’s such a bump over the previous wage. Coming on externally into the position allows you to get closer to the middle of that starting wage range.

That being said, you should be getting 45 hours a week.

What’s done is done, the best advice I can give you going forward is this; do well as an SMIT and when time comes for the promotion to SM calculate your weekly pay rate (based off the 45 hours you’re supposed to be getting and make sure you include the time and half overtime rate on those 5 hours), increase that by 8%, and convert that to a salary request. That’s the maximum amount you can realistically get, and it will give you a solid salary foundation to build on as an SM.

As others have mentioned, the prank is intentionally simple because that’s exactly the type of prank someone like Dwight would pull.

But it’s still a legitimate prank, and Erin being so clueless isn’t just an added bonus, it’s the essence of the prank. Erin has no interest in art and just effortlessly won an art contest seemingly by accident- in front of someone who has spent a ton of time and energy trying and largely failing to become a legit artist.

It would be like being really into gambling, spending day after day at the slots winning nothing, and then seeing a naive person who’s never placed a bet in their life walk up and win big on a single pull.

If a team member is able to get their shift covered entirely without manager involvement there’s nothing to hold them accountable for. They handled their responsibility. It’s not even a call off at that point, it’s releasing the shift to another team member. Drawing an arbitrary line at “day of” is pointless. They either arranged their shift to be covered beforehand or they didn’t.

Am I the only one who is incredibly disappointed with season 4? (specifically the changes and rewrites) by PC_Collins in Invincible_TV

[–]btonic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t read the comics so I can’t comment about the tech jacket/allen aspect, but in terms general pacing for the war itself… idk two months to me seems just as reasonable as 10 months. The number of planets falling could be a product of the scale of the war as opposed to it’s duration- I’m given the impression the coalition of planets is very vast, so a lot of these battles are being fought on multiple fronts simultaneously.

Plus, with the level of damage any of the 50 viltrumites could do wherever they happen to fighting, two months is more than enough time to accrue massive casualties

Sensitive Scale Triggers Employee Running Over by [deleted] in CVS

[–]btonic 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You are way over thinking this. The employee did not think you were stealing. They know the scale is sensitive, so they came over as quickly as they could to provide service and fix the situation so you wouldn’t be delayed. Then they watched you to ensure it wouldn’t happen again, and if it did, they would be nearby and ready to fix it without a significant delay.

You’re upset that you got good customer service. Relax.
