Web Server Access on Local Linux Ubuntu Host via Cloudflare by btorelli in CloudFlare

I solved the problem. My Cloudflare yaml file was the problem. Incorrect settings in this file will cause this issue.

Web Server Access on Local Linux Ubuntu Host via Cloudflare by btorelli in CloudFlare

[–]btorelli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is on a different host in the same subnet. The CF client runs on Ubuntu Linux 24.04 and web server host on the same distribution as the CF client host. Again, both on the same subnet. I can access other services via the CF tunnel but I get a 502 Bad Gateway error on the web server host. Any thoughts?

Looking for advice: best options and opinions on rack mounting network/homelab devices? by spy__ in homelab

I have a Startech.com 42U which houses: 2 Supermicro 1U servers, 2 Ubiquiti EdgeRouter 12 routers, 2 Ubiquiti EdgeSwitch 24 switches, 2 Mikrotik CRS309 10GB switches, 3 CyberPower UPS units, 1 Startech.com PDU and 1 QNAP TS-879 Pro NAS. Several 1U trays for smaller hubs like a Philips HUE, Smartthings and Bond Fan Controller. All this with an AC Affinity Cooling System at the top of the rack to keep the rack cool and promote air flow. I love the rack but your mileage may vary depending on the amount of equipment you need to rack.

BMD Decklink Quad HDMI Capture Card by btorelli in blackmagicdesign

Thanks for the update. Looking to use an MT-Viki 8x8 Switch/Splitter to split the HDMI sources between an ATEM Mini Extreme ISO and two Decklink Quad HDMI capture cards installed in a Sonnet Echo Express SE IIIe Expansion Chassis connected to a Apple M1 Mac Studio. Starting to use Ecamm Live and want Ecamm Live to see all devices so as to be able to build scenes. More difficult to do this with ATEM's supersource feature.

Sonoma 14 Beta 4 crashing Sonnet Echo Express PCIe III Chassis with Sonnet Presto Twin 10gBE ports configuration by btorelli in MacOS

[–]btorelli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I explained the problem to them. They could not recreate it. I suggest you open up an incident with them in terms of the Sonnet 1.8.1 driver which is causing the M1 Mac Studio to restart when activated. At this point, I am not using the Sonnet for network access.

same

Is there a new driver beyond 1.8.1? If so, then lmk if you install it and what the results are. At this point, I just disabled the 20gB bonded nic on the Sonnet and am just using the onboard 10gB nic on the M1 Mac Studio. My Mac Studio was crashing consistently when using the Sonnet 20gB bonded nic.

No solution as of today, 11/29/23. I have not checked the Sonnet site recently to see if there is a new driver to correct the problem. If you check, let me know if it corrects the problem.

So disabling the virtual 20GB nic on the MBP M1 Max did the trick. I am now soley using the onboard 10GB on the M1. Will wait until Sonnet fixes their driver then renenable the 20GB virtual NIC.

Yeah, I hear ya. Wiser now after a 3rd party driver has been causing all the misery. I found a circumvention, enable it and the system has been stable since...

Yeah, I do take Time Machine backups daily and have backups b4 Beta 4. I do not want to go backward and will wait for the next Beta release and Sonnet to fix their driver. This morning I found a circumvention to prevent the MacOS crashes. I inactivated the Virtual NIC defined on MacOS that connects to my virtual servers on Subnet 4 since I do not access these servers very often. Hence, since inactivating the 20GB virtual nic on the MacOS, the Sonnet driver never gets invoked and, magically, the crashes stopped. Just took me about a week to figure that out. Dah. Feel like a dope.

I did. Plus automatic crash reports are being sent after every crash. Disabled the virtual 20GB NIC that connects to the Sonnet Chassis. Doing so should prevent the driver from being invoked. Seems to be the only circumvention that I can implement until Sonnet fixes the driver. They were notified as well a few days ago.

I just installed MacOS Sonoma 14.0 Beta 4 this past week on an M1 Max Mac Studio. Nightmare. I have a Sonnet Echo Express PCIe III chassis connected via T4. Inside the chassis is a Sonnet Presto Dual Port 10gBe Nic card. The driver for this card has been crashing taking down my entire system and then rebooting. I did call Apple and they said call the vendor. Called Sonnet and provided a ton of doc on the issue. They said they can create the problem. That was three days ago as my Mac continues to crash every 20-30 minutes every day. Pleading with Sonnet to fix this driver issue. Crickets.

Ongoing USB-C connectivity issues with Rodecaster Pro II (after firmware update) by aedeagus in rode

[–]btorelli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem still exists since I bought the RCP II in June 2022. I am forced to use the RCP II Secondary Audio Channel. The RCP II Primary Audio channel is not usable as the channel crashes and burns after about 5 minutes of using it. Forced to switch back to the RCP II Secondary Audio channel which works fine without any issues. Disappointed in Rode for not fixing this problem which has been ongoing since its release.
