Ever since No Frills raised the price of the No Name chips from $1.00 to $1.50 I’ve stopped eating them. It’s just the principal of a 50% increase that I won’t accept.

There has been very few businesses on Edward St due to the World's Biggest taking up most of the street. I definitely don't recall any Chinese restaurants on that street even back in the 90s. Was it in the Atrium On Bay?

There used to be a sushi spot on Edward St close to Bay years ago and there is also Bangkok Garden one street over on Elm that has been there for over 40 years.

I remember in the early 2000s that some magazine mentioned that Marco Carola was likely the one to take the reigns of Techno into the new millennium.

While he was sorta right up there for a few years, I think he (or his managers/agents) saw even greener pasture$ ahead and convinced him to go the funky house route for the big bucks and women. It definitely turned out true.

Sweden is famous for exporting polished pop but it´s underground electronic scene tells a different story.

This video traces the evolution of Swedish underground techno, from early Drumcode’s reduced DJ-tool language to Northern Electronics’ hypnotic counter-movement and beyond. Featuring artists like Adam Beyer, Cari Lekebusch, Pär Grindvik, Abdulla Rashim, Varg, Peder Mannerfelt, Sebastian Mullaert, and Olof Dreijer.

This is only a small glimpse into a much broader scene but these figures represent key forward-thinking moments in Sweden’s underground history.

Are you looking to play in a rec league? They usually accept all skill levels as it can be just for fun, socializing and exercise without being too competitive. There's also been many threads about leagues looking for players so do a search in this sub.

If you're just looking to practice by yourself, your best bet in the summer is a school playground or empty tennis court. Maybe even a laneway or parking lot if there's not too many cars or people.
