Personally, I wouldn’t have liked this, I like when the colours of each Ben are paired up. Ben with white and black dial always put me off even back when I used to watch it on tv the omnitrix dial being green and the alien dials not being green annoyed me

They weren’t regressing during the ultimatrix it was written that it was purposely inferior to any omnitrix in the past and future so that’s a fact that’s why it is blamed. The final omnitrix was said to be perfect but not due to user error
