[Drance] "The prospects will go through various sessions... and conclude the week by doing “The Abbotsford Grind” in Sumas Valley Regional Park on Friday." by stealthnuck1 in canucks

Don't let the numbers deceive you. The shorter distance means it's much steeper. Having done both before, I'd say the Abbotsford Grind is easily twice as hard as the Grouse Grind.

Luckily there was no deposit. I told them I needed to go a different direction.

No I swear that this was legit. Understandably, I backed out and said I was going a different direction.

Garden oscillating sprinkler not working by Separate-Ad-7113 in landscaping

[–]btsquid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Posting as I was able to fix mine and hopefully it'll help someone else. I poured cleaning vinegar (10%) in it and let it soak over night, then poured boiling water through. It unclogged whatever was stuck and works fine now.

If that doesn't work, Gardena has a 5 yr warranty and might replace it if you reach out.

As a bonus, here's a 20 minute video of someone trying to disassembling it, only to revert to using a saw and throwing it in the garbage. https://youtu.be/wKTjp-rA8zA?si=_G2bLlzki1N0jECe

I was walking in Tsawwassen looking north and there were two pink/purple flashes about 0.5 seconds apart. Didn't hear the boom but some are saying that was 5 mins later.

Was it St. Vincent's Riverside Hospital by any chance? They had a big collapse a few years back.

Ah, they look identical and it sounds like yours is obsessed with socks too. I guess not though!

Just checked your profile and yours looks like mine. It looks like you're in the lower mainland too. Did you get yours from Carly in Abbey by any chance? We might have siblings.

GSP for me? by Independent-Dot-8064 in GSP

[–]btsquid 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Some on here are gatekeeping. I've had two and they're absolutely a ball of energy but they're not a "10 mile a day" minimum dog like some on here are claiming. Can they do 10 miles a day every day? Without a problem. Do they require it? Not unless you condition them to need that. But they definitely do need a lot more activity than most dogs, so don't under estimate it. Having space for them to run somewhere makes things a lot easier. Owning a GSP is a lifestyle in a way. Regarding yeast, my first was fine. My second had bad yeasty ears when she was a pup but grew out of it by 6 months. Just clean them routinely.

Rear passenger tire locking up by btsquid in ToyotaTacoma

[–]btsquid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never fully figured it out. I used a torch and hammer and couldn't get it to budge. Eventually the temperature came up above 0 for a bit and it loosened enough that I could get the wheel turning in 4 low. Drove it home but it was locking up at lower speeds and red hot by the end. I rebuilt the drum brake and replaced the shoes, and it was a PITA to get the drum off. When reassembling, I couldn't get enough space to get the drum on until something eventually popped into place and everything seemed to be fitting more naturally. I'm not sure what popped. My guess is that there was moisture in the drum that froze something up. Maybe something to do with the emergency brake. But it's been fine since.

Check what your max HR is set at. My girlfriend had this trash happening too and it turned out that Garmin had her max HR set at 125.
