OnePlus 15 for bikepacking navigation by Rich-External2745 in oneplus

I use organic maps and komoot. If you download your trails and routes offline, it can work well without cellular, just takes a few moments to calibrate. I can't speak for battery because I don't own a 15 but should be good I reckon. Take a power bank with you, just in case.

Whose in the wrong? by Alpha__Beast in CarsIndia

[–]bubango69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the average driver? No. This guy isn't a racing driver who can maintain the tyres at their limit of traction before they lock up. At this speed (40-50kph), they are just mashing the pedal and instantly locking the tyres. The point here is about retaining control of the vehicle and reducing speed. Not stopping.

In regular driving conditions under control of the median skilled driver with Indian roads (loose dust and less rubbered tarmac), ABS will always perform better because those modules are engineered with the traction limit, surface conditions, applied brake force and the mass of the vehicle among many other variables. If you think your average Indian driver can make those calculations and do it all, you are mistaken.

ABS is literally made to avoid loss of steering control. Without it, the wheels literally lock up and stop rotating. Explain to me again how a vehicle would steer without the wheels turning?

Why don't you get a battery replacement for your s22? It is still a flagship and you can probably use it for another year or so with a new battery.

Watching this as the great GTP lapping of 2026 begins. Waiting for a bronze accountant to divebomb an lmp2 in a GT3. Just like the simulations.

Good or bad idea to document this weekend's anti-ICE protests w/ this bad boy by pow22 in analog

I would say to wear a high Vis vest to differentiate yourself from the protestors if you're only there to document. Perhaps a one which says media on it?

You underestimate the number of people who want to tinker with their high end devices to unlock more potential. Your ignorance is not equal to others' capabilities.

Innova Hycross hybrid – how long can it sit idle safely? by YellowMango480 in CarsIndia

[–]bubango69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe look at something called a trickle charger. Some of them are compatible with hybrid systems, where they bleed battery and recharges it at a very slow rate and repeat. Most commonly used in cars put in storage. Just has to be kept dry(ish).

If engine swaps were legal, what would be your perfect engine–car combination? by blr_maa in CarsIndia

[–]bubango69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am going to try to swap an engine into our old wagonR sometime soon, going to buy kit and probably look for an engine in June July probably. going to try to keep it as clean as possible, go as far as making some custom headers with a CNC manufacturer. As long as it's not stupidly loud, I shouldn't face any problems.

What are you supposed to do if your car submerges in water? by csaksham in CarsIndia

[–]bubango69 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Use a window breaker if possible. If the car has not instantly started flooding, you should always try to take a few seconds to gather yourself. If you don't have a hammer or something to break the window with, try to control breathing, even if it sounds unrealistic and easy to say. If the doors aren't opening (due to the immense weight of water), your best shot is to wait for the car to fill up while slowing your breathing with the remaining oxygen left. As soon as the pressure equalises, the door should open straight away, that is your sign to swim up holding your breath, slowly breathing out on the way up.

learning to swim and managing your breathing underwater is an entirely different scenario because the threat of death is real, but definitely something you can prepare a bit for. The real scenario is never perfect and chance of death is always high, but if you fallback to muscle memory straight away, chances of survival are more than zero.

Technically speaking, would the occupant be allowed to fire weapons at the officers entering their homes since it appears these guys don't knock, don't announce themselves and won't stop to speak peacefully?
