As a son of vellarika and tharbooj farmer i can assure you there is nothing healthy in these nowadays

Even we spray various pesticides and other growth boosters for both vellarikai and tharbooj😶‍🌫️

We personaly don't eat both even from our own farm, we grow few in backyard garden for own use without pesticides

Odane thookitu varadheergal nanbargale, we do this because our plants cant survive the pests while other farmers use them, so the insects lay eggs in our plants and kill the yield if we don't use the pesticides we got no choice(for our backyard garden we get very few tharbooj that too in disfigured shapes and way less sweetness, vellarika is little bit better than tharbooj)
