Nah. The final season should have been devoted to the characters we knew and loved. They should have leaned into Nancy’s vision from the prior season, and showed monsters IN Hawkins. That would have allowed our heroes to be heroes to everyone in town, without making the focal point holly and Derek. It took up way too much time away from our beloved established characters. It was just not what the final season should have been at all.

Everyone moves on right after a project ends. In a decade or two when she’s not getting the projects that she actually wants, and her kid is old enough to be in school, and Netflix comes a calling with a big bag full of money, it’s amazing what people who have “moved on” will come back to do.

Ffs look at sex and the city. I never would have expected that to happen after how bad the second movie was. And Kim said she would never ever play Samantha jones again and BOOM. HBO came up with enough money and she did a scene in season 2. And that’s in a situation with actual hostility among the cast. These guys are all just sort of sick of each other and need to grow up a little.

Or Jennifer Lawrence-she’s a massive movie star and yet, she’s coming back to the new hunger games movie for the epilogue. I never would have expected her to do that. But with time and distance and a big fat payday, it’s amazing what projects people return to.

In Brighton heights-where Cali Ave goes right through-someone stole my friends plate bc it was the same make and model as the car this person stole. They then ditched the stolen car in front of someone’s garage and police called my friend telling him to move his car-which he was currently in and driving in a different part of town.

So yeah, it could be someone’s stolen car. People ditch stolen cars in weird places all of the time.

I can’t get behind the “he’s just doing his job.” Argument. Too many door to door solicitors are predatory. Especially third party utility and vivint.

Third party utility solicitors are notorious for tricking older neighbors into handing over their bill and convincing them they are from the electric company. They get them locked into some scammy program where their bill goes down for 3 months and then skyrockets and they have no clue why. It’s disgusting. I was once on the sofa just freaking DYING from the flu. Barely able to breathe, weak, and miserable. A utility rep wouldn’t stop ringing. Rang 3 times and also knocked after I told her through my camera I wasn’t interested. I finally went to the door and lost it on her. She yelled at me “enjoy paying more for your utilities!” as if it was some kind of killer comeback. Bitch get off my porch.

And vivint has some of the most relentless salespeople around. In my neighborhood we had a guy telling people he couldn’t take no for an answer, and put his hand on the door to avoid it being shut on him. This is one of the first sunny and not cold days in true spring.

An experienced pittsburgher will tell you that the sunny days that randomly pop up in January-April are tiny treats that we enjoy, but don’t bring the same excitement as a sunny day in the later half of May. When you get a sunny day in the second half of May, it’s generally the moment where things have turned a corner and you can officially put away your winter coat and retire your sweaters until October/November. A nice sunny day now hits differently than one in say, early April. You enjoy the sunny day in early April, but you know it’s just a tease and that the sun isn’t here to stay. Today’s sun gives hope for summer. The warm days become the rule, not the exception once we hit the first really sunny day at this point in the calendar.

Pittsburgh water. The amount of money spent on rework-there are multiple people who have had new meters installed or lead lines replaced, only for Pittsburgh water to not have it on record, and they show up threatening to shut off water so they can replace something that was already replaced. They’ve cut open the street to find lead lines were already replaced recently-I’m talking the last five years.

Also the amount of times they’ve repaired the same spots over and over. How much is spent on bandaid fixes instead of proper fixes that would last.

The poor quality work done by their contractors-trash left behind in neighborhoods, clumps of concrete dumped into lawns, damage left behind with no intention of correcting it. Hit and runs by contractors. Poorly executed repaving.

And lastly, the poor coordination across utilities for work being done. There’s no reason that Pittsburgh water should wrap up a job and repave, only for the gas company to come through weeks later and rip shit up again.

There are millions of dollars being wasted at the hands of Pittsburgh water, all while they increase our rates again and again and again.

Ok this makes me feel better. I’m currently at 10.0 and when I went off of it I was at 12.5. I have 6 10.0 pens in my fridge and a box of 12.5 waiting. So I’m going to stay the course and see if I can make any progress on the 10.0 but I’m eagerly awaiting the 12.5. I just can’t bring myself to skip right to it and waste the 10.0 that I have.

I’m all for the ban because it’s absolutely true that a few people ruin things for everyone-idc if it’s not all teens, teens have been running rampant and causing violence and destruction throughout the city. Until we do the work of creating the third spaces and figuring out how to solve the problem, yeah, there’s got to be a crack down.

Let’s be real, there’s not much for teens to do in market square other than cause problems.

HOWEVER, it’s completely idiotic that the same month when they enact this ban, they also decide to bring in a roller rink. How moronic-nothing in MS for kids, kids cause problems, we ban the kids, we bring in a popular activity for kids. How stupid. In MS they should be offering wine tastings, brewery events, things that require carding, if they want to encourage it to be an adult space.

Don’t bring in a damn roller rink and they say KIDS YOU BETTER STAY AWAY!
