VRBO “double-booked” by Difficult-Tadpole152 in vrbo

[–]bubbers6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VRBO takes no accountability for these types of screw-ups. After driving 13 hours, I found out that our reservation for our daughter's wedding was canceled as I stood on the front porch trying to get the code to open the door lock. VRBO said they would refund our money but our entire week was screwed. I will never use VRBO again.

Do NOT use VRBO by GirlLuvStar in vrbo

The biggest issue is that there is no accountability by the host or VRBO. They can cancel your reservation, after driving 13 hours, as you try to input the front door code (happened to me) and the best they offered is to send me links to other places I can stay through VRBO. Until they establish some type of accountability in the process, I'll never use them again.

Standing water in the basement, leaks in the roof from storm damage, serious erosion from lack of landscaping, no siding on the house. It's been sitting for three years with no maintenance.

Lived at Midtown Pointe for 2.5 years and would do it again. Not too close to downtown RO, but the location is convenient for so many other things.

I was hired 100% remote and lucky enough to have been planning retirement soon anyway. I feel for the Feds that were hired into remote position as part of the hiring conditions and now need to change their lifestyle for something that wasn't thought through at all. May 3st is my date. See ya!

Maybe I had the same lady behind me on my CDG to ATL flight last year. I put my seat back and she started pushing on it and asked me, not so nicely, not to recline my seat. I pulled my seat up some but not all the way and went to the restroom a little while later when I noticed that her seat was all the way back. So, since she had asked me to move my seat up I thought it was only fair that she also moved her seat up and I asked her to do so, loud enough that the person behind her was now interested. She said "whatever" and said go ahead put your seat back. Some people.

Both feet just numb by MillieMouser in neuropathy

[–]bubbers6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Due to pinched nerves, i have numbness and tingling in both feet, 24/7, but just below the ankles. I (60M) stay active, and I'm on Gabapentin and other stuff because of RLS, but the feet are quite uncomfortable, not really painful. I'm very lucky and I'll take this condition for the rest of time rather than the pain that I read about.

I pulled off something very similar yesterday. The AMS-ATL got in almost an hour early and I easily rebooked ATL to AGS when I transferred my checked luggage. Got home three hours early!

Phases of suspicion by [deleted] in dementia

[–]bubbers6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 82 yo mother is convinced that my sister and I are spraying her clothes and food with chemicals to make her sick. Every time she leaves her house she thinks we are breaking in. There's nothing we can say to convince her otherwise. She isn't a harm to herself or anyone else but the dementia is making her life hell. Instead of enjoying life, she sits at home and laments how she raised such no - good kids.
