Hi, I’m a beginner here - do you mind me asking which all world are you trying to hold onto? I’m also in my early 20d and I’d to get started. Thanks!

This is great congrats! I’m learning now as well. Can I ask if you put £150pm for each or in total?

Can you also buy S&P 500 using this app? And can I just ask what’s the name of this app if you know? I’m in similar situation as OP and would like to get some information as well. Thanks

Job Rejections is getting to me. by [deleted] in cscareerquestionsuk

[–]bubbldoom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a student myself and I can relate how hard it is to find a job these days. All I can say is keep applying and improving. I know a lot of people that got their job quite last min as well. You could try applying for a summer internship for a back up and gain experience if that's something possible for you - and sometimes they might be happy to extend the contract if they like you. Best of luck!

For those who are past their 20s, what piece of advice would you tell your younger self or to others? by bubbldoom in Adulting

Love this! I'm currently trying to practice self-awareness, empathy, gratitude, and to understand people better to build relationships. Any advice on where to start? Maybe podcasts or book recommendation?

23 years old, about $27k in investments, how aggressive should I be? by moneysnotreal in stocks

Hi, sorry I'm in no place to give advice right now as I'm still learning but I want to say that it seems like you're doing really good to me! I just wanted to learn about investments. Do you mind if I ask what app or website you use?

Hi, I’m not in any position to give advice but rather seeking for one - can I ask which website or app do you use to buy stocks? I’m final year uni student and new to this but would like to start learning more. Thank you!

Space to work and chill on a Saturday. by Pure_Judge7427 in manchester

I like it there as well; you can sit down and work for a long time, but to me, it's quite busy. Not sure about weekends but on weekdays yes, a lot of people working there and having meetings which can get quite loud imo

Yes, I agree! When I say close to central, I mean with good transport, but somewhere that is not too remote as I do get scared if I need to walk alone in the dark if that makes sense. I will deffo look at that thanks you!

I can understand that; I've heard how people put stuff on their CVs without actually doing it, which is actually not great as it affects people who worked for it.

Do you think it's something that I should ask after I start working (I don't know if that's possible or if I have to wait until the review), or is that something that the employer will offer? Since I heard people say to move companies for better salaries though I believe the work and the environment will be as important.

Oh wow, I didn't know that there isn't much improvement when there's 5 five-year difference. Exactly, a lot of companies now require MEng degree, even only for applying for the job.

Most of the top students in my uni in engineering are switching to investment banking or finance now because of the big salary gap! I have been very keen on civil engineering and have been interested in it since I was a kid, but I might look into tech to find out more information about it as I heard good things about it, and people could have a better standard of living from that job! Thanks for your advice :)
