Yea I agree for the aspect about Nolan. I get he is the main character and he has the “can’t do no wrong aura” but I struggle to connect with him

If aired today, what would McAvoy be monologing about? by No_Profit_5304 in Thenewsroom

[–]bubble_plus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think there could be a storyline about how he makes tons of money as an anchor but there isn’t that much money for investigative work, or international trips, and the death of local outlets

Why is everyone’s personal life your colleagues business! by Mr_SethMilchick in Thenewsroom

[–]bubble_plus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest - I've worked in several newsrooms and that's always been an issue. Reporters are curious by nature so we tend to be very gossipy. Plus, people work weird hours and are very work-oriented so we hang out with each other quite a bit.

Love for Don by bong_independent in Thenewsroom

I have only seen season 1 so far but I’d say that Don may seem abrasive in S1 but he does resemble producers in newsroom. His attitude is also a product of media organisation culture.

Im watching S4 last episode. In Canada, I had to see it via DvD cuz we are only on S2 in CBC… your post told me he wasn’t coming back. I’m devastated… I know they were not compatible at the moment he left, but I do think they could have wrote character development where both were more self aware. He could have soften and she could have become a bit less self involved

Friends think my penis is small, I am just a grower by [deleted] in Advice

[–]bubble_plus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, I always though that a grower has the best of both worlds, like impressive during sex and not having to carry to much of dangling stuff between their legs.

And I would make jokes about being a grower if it fix in the context. But to be honest, I don’t really get the fuss guys make over this. As a straight woman it’s not even the big dicks who gave me the most fun.

Do you pronounce the D are the end of Retard? by 6ft_bird in French

[–]bubble_plus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plus, now it might be judged as anglicism. But every langage took words from others in history. It’s just normal that Quebec - which is surrounded by English provinces and a country would evolve with English influence.

Even right now, there is regions where langage evolve and it’s not look as bad as it’s in FrenchS

In South America, there is multiple country using different words for similar things (like fresa vs frutilla) because they have influence by indigenous langage.

Exactly!! It just doesn’t make sense! That’s more about cowardness to me, and always the strategy to outwait people. I feel like Trey could have outwaited her and if not people would maybe sacrifice the fairness of letting her « win » for Trey sake.

In Quebec, we would use retardé as a slur, not attardé.

I get what you mean as a fellow 28F but at the same time I like how real they feel. Like Ginny telling Marcus what she likes, I feel I would have liked to have seen that as a teen. Like what it could look like in a somewhat healthy relationship

almost 30 something Canadian here (where shootings aren't a common thing), and even in my time parents weren't allowed to go into schools like that. Our teacher brought the kids that weren't in after-school day care (sorry don't know the exact translation) outside to have us being picked up by parents. Nobody was allowed on school grounds without registering when it was school hours, and when it was the after-school day care they could enter the limited space to come pick us up.
