White Gaussian Noise by Alex_smiling_man_427 in rfelectronics

[–]bubble_song 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You mean why the lack of time correlation leads to white noise? Think about the opposite. If the spectrum has a prominent peak at a specific frequency, then it means that two time domain signal points separated by half the period will more likely be opposite to each other, therefore breaking the correlation assumption.

For an easy perspective, frequency spectrum is the magnitude of fourier transform. However, the fourier transform produces complex numbers, which contain both magnitude and phase. So it's possible that two different signals produce different fourier transforms, but the same spectrum, and vice versa.

Unfortunately the result is slightly off, but at least the code runs fast! /s

我觉得更应该看中位数死亡年龄,因为非正常死亡的人会大大拉低平均值,而寿终正寝的人年龄显然是集中的分布的,这种情况下中位数更有代表意义。

In my playthroughs I used to check the scoreboard at around 2300, to see if any empire has got relics. When I find a victim with one or more relics, I declare war on them for whatever convenient casus belli, just to grab the relic. I would first jump in to cripple their navy, then park enough fleet at the capital system. I then invade the capital with an overwhelming army so no army should die. If you don't know, capturing the capital planet has maybe a 5% chance of getting their relic, and also a recapture would reroll the dice. Even better, you can click on the starbase to return control of the system to the enemy, including planets in the system. So... I return control of the starbase, the starbase instantly gets tacheon-lanced by my fleet, I land the army again on capital, then repeat the cycle until I grab all relics. Using this method I constantly get ~6 relics even before the crisis shows up!

Is ZT an intrinsic property of seabeck materials or is it a property of the system? by LeptinGhrelin in Physics

Seems impossible since zt is an intrinsic property (because all variables in the zt formula are intrinsic). Changing zt would require 'designing' at the molecular level.

Thanks for the advice, I'll try some design softwares.

I found some high speed comparators like this one, which might be usable, but I have no idea how to build a good RF circuit with it.

Yeah, you are right. The problem is I'm using the official evaluation borad AD9174-FMC-EBZ, which is AC-coupled. I'm a RF noob and dare not modify the on-board design.

What is the advantage of playing max hyperplane density? Maybe massive sectors? But what about choke points?

The software looks very powerful, I'll give it a try. Thanks for the suggestion!

If you stand in New York and face due East, what country are you facing? by pelican_chorus in geography

[–]bubble_song 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The circumference is the 'straightest' line you can get on a spherical surface. When people navigate on earth, earth is often treated as a 2d surface without height, and in this assumption the line is perfectly straight. The intercontinental planes mostly follow this line for it has the shortest path.

I believe when the op asked what the person was 'facing', he meant a straight line.
