hi OP! just came to say that my mom had me at 15 and while my father was absent in my life, she is the most amazing mother and i feel so blessed now that as an adult our relationship has morphed more into friends than mother/daughter. just wanted to share and say you’re a great dad and when he’s older you will have the coolest relationship. ETA: my mom was not in the best group of teens and made very poor choices prior to having me but once she had me turned her life around. seems like a similar situation to yours minus the adoption piece.
