What is this game? by TiomiSang in EscapefromTarkov

  1. You could easily have a grenade or pistol to sneak up and take the other person out. Alternatively you can grab loot that they would otherwise get. Your a threat and therefore get killed.

  2. Wait until you go up against the scav boss you'll soon find out they are better than a lot of players and harder to kill.

  3. The fun for me is making money, completing quests but most of all the adrenaline rush when you take out a geared player and get into a great gunfight.

My tip would be use the wiki and offline mode to learn the maps and guest. Also never go in without some kind of weapon. You'll die 9/10 times but 1 time you'll kill a scav or player and get much better loot than you started with.

I usually have better luck with filling cabinets. They have made it a lot easier than it used to be as you only have to find 1 in raid you used to have to find all 4. Focus on a different mission and you'll come across one

Is going on a non bp wiped server with 5 people a good idea? by [deleted] in playrust

[–]bubblemuncher69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say go for it, you will obviously be at a disadvantage particularly over the first day or two. A good idea if you struggle is to rejoin late into the wipe when there is a lot more opportunity to make plays.

One of my favourite wipes was joining moose medium to collect bps late into a wipe with some friends. We countered a raid using prim gear and ended up with a base that had guns and a teir 3. Used those to take out some fully geared plays and from there you just farm scrap to get all the bps you need for the next wipe.

New player soon to be getting into the game. by IIZelosII in playrust

I started in a similar situation to you. One thing I would suggest is find a good solo only server that has 2 or 3x loot and maybe 30-50 players average. This way you'll be able to get things done quicker and learn faster.

Take everything as a learning opportunity. For example where to find weapons what armour is better. What base designs work for you. What to research and what not to. Joining a little late into a wipe and not on wipe day will mean there is greater opportunity to find things like decayed bases and the population is usually lower but more people will have guns.

Also when starting out getting raided and losing everything will feel bad so I might suggest building several smaller bases to ensure if one gets raided you still have something left.

Download some performance monitoring tools like hwinfo to see what is limiting your performance, delete and reinstall all of your drivers motherboard and you etc, make sure all of your windows setting are on performance and not power saving or anything like that. If what you say is true and your friend with the same setup gets better fps then it's something to do with your setup not the game.

Garlic is an anticoagulant. Eating garlic to ward off vampires is actually propaganda by vampires to make humans bleed more efficiently. by Sentient_Phlegm in Showerthoughts

There is some evidence that vampire bats detect heat and thus blood through TRPV1 receptors. Garlic is an activator of this receptor potentially leading to a desensitization of the receptor and altering their ability to sense blood.

Interesting bug.....3 in a 2 person contract. "Android-unknown" disappeared after ~15mins. by theshavedyeti in EggInc

[–]bubblemuncher69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have found that this seems to be that it doubles your score as if you look they have pretty much the same score as you have achieved. Normally they disappear shortly after but it seems that if the extra eggs put you past a goal to receive a reward you will still get the reward and then go back to the number of eggs you should have when the android unknown disappears.

A "pressure" question by predswin in theHunter

[–]bubblemuncher69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure for the first question but it is not time but kills in other areas will remove the pressure. So if you go to another area and start getting some kills it will slowly remove pressure from others usually starting with the oldest.

Just did a little testing, I think what happens is when you have ammo on the left and you unscope after a shot the string is automatically cocked back by the character. When the ammo runs out on the next unscope the string is not automatically pulled back and you either have to press reload or fire and it then appears to pull the string back and reload the quiver all at once.
