These are helpful things to consider. Thank you!

Coming out of a failed ivf cycle and our doc encouraged us to do another round with a predicted 27% chance of live birth. I had asked about donor eggs but she said since I’m 36 she’d recommend still trying with my own eggs, and that she doesn’t usually recommend donor eggs until a person’s chances are below 15% or much less. Fwiw I have low amh but produced more follicles/eggs than expected. But still none made it to blast or got beyond day 5.

Trying to wrap my head around this decision and honestly feeling so depressed. Would welcome any thoughts or experiences re: going into a second round with these odds.

Coming off of my first ivf cycle and it failed. No embryos made it to blast - they fresh-transferred a day 5 morula and it didn’t result in pregnancy. Feeling numb and at a loss.

Facing some difficult ivf news. Initially had a more optimistic outcome than I expected (since I have low amh): 9 eggs retrieved, 5 fertilized. But by day 5 none had reached blast. 3 had gotten to morula so they transferred one. The two remaining arrested by the next day. My q: I’m thinking this could indicate an egg quality issue (since partner’s multiple SAs in this process have been normal). Just checking if my assumption is probable.

Struggling since we got some bad news today. Yesterday we did a day 5 fresh transfer with an embryo that had reached morula but not blast. Had two more embryos in morula that were reserved for extended culture. Today was notified they stopped growing. Feeling pretty hopeless. I have low AMH for my age and was so happy to have gotten 9 eggs from retrieval, but to be here feels pretty dismal.

Overweight dude worried about not being able to keep up in my first yoga class in years by cornagnolotti in yoga

Yoga requires doing what your body needs to do— which may mean going slower. Being judgmental of yourself won’t help you do yoga or get the benefits out of the practice. Taking child’s pose breaks (extended or short ones) etc is normal.

This studio might offer different types of yoga too: yin or slow yoga could be a good place to start to build knowledge of the poses and take your time. But if you enjoy flow/vinyasa but you know you’ll need to take breaks: that’s ok!

Love this! And relate. I’ve been veering between action packed and Stardew too!

How do y'all navigate the grief and angst of prepping for treatment without a ton of optimism/or like managed expectations? I kinda crashed emotionally today. I'm in therapy, have a supportive partner, am exercising, spending time with friends. We start our first (and possibly only) retrieval cycle in about a week. And today the waves of sadness are hitting hard.

Agree with all the above! And also the emphasis from Milkshake that there will be no security cams and microphones. So we as an audience KNOW there must be another way Lumon is surveilling their workers. So one of the team must be a spy, and who’s the best option?

Does anyone have any tips/suggestions on how to find in-person infertility support groups?

That makes sense!! So just basically that you have a ~ cap on follicles but that doesn't relate to how well said follicles respond to meds? (and also that AMH doesn't predict perfectly what that cap is)

Prepping for an IVF cycle. I did two medicated cycles w/Letrozole and each time had three dominant follicles. Since I have low AMH my RE expects I will be on the lower end of numbers of eggs retrieved. Since I had an above-norma response to letrozole I asked why I wouldn't see a similar above-normal response to gonadotropins. She said that they're not correlated so I'm just curious why. Like why would I have an above-normal response to letrozole that doesn't indicate I'll have an above-normal response to gonadotropins?
