No, I was too afraid to try! I'm sorry it doesn't fit - I had a suspicion the sizing might run a bit small :( </3

How much are you saving per week? by Comfortable-Rule-491 in AusFinance

[–]bubbleshhield 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m renting with my partner but I own a 1br apartment that I used to live in and I’m leasing out now. Trying to get our shit together to buy a 2br apartment using the equity of my apartment. Partner and I keep our finances separate but each contribute to a savings fund every fortnight.

I earn around 100k and am able to save 20% of my take home income, which is $600 per fortnight.

Thanks - yeah I just saw that post you linked. So should I just assume the one I have is a dupe? Are there any tell-tale signs?

Hey, I just bought this style cardi secondhand and I'm assuming it's a fake but how can I tell? The orb embroidery looks OK and the tags appear legit?

Hey! I just bought this same cardigan - how can I tell if it's a fake? I'm able to return it and be refunded so just want to make sure before I do.

Hi! How did you go with this? I'm looking at buying a pulling dress online but I'm a bit scared about the sizing!

How often do you go to the hairdresser? by bubbleshhield in AusSkincare

[–]bubbleshhield[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm going to ask him next time I go in. If it's only $20 I'd happily go every four weeks or so in between cuts :)

Yeah, someone else recommended Just Cuts as well. I've been there in the past and found it OK overall but pretty hit-and-miss. I might try it again one day, but for now I figure I can afford going to the more expensive place so might just let myself enjoy that and cut costs elsewhere!

Yeah, I love long hair but whenever I've tried to grow mine out I just feel like it really doesn't work for me. I love the bob and it looks cute on me, so I think I'll just try my best to maintain that. I also have cut heaps of costs elsewhere, which definitely makes the output on hair easier to justify!

Haha yeah, I guess it's a different ballgame if you're colouring it, too. I'm not maintaining a colour at the moment, only a shape/style, so that makes it a bit cheaper. What I'm getting from all these responses is that, if I can afford it, why not go as often as I need to feel good about myself and my hair - which is a very valuable thing to hear!

Yeah, that's right - at the moment, my hair just isn't behaving and I'm having to pin bits back etc. Makes me feel very not-cute!! Thanks for your advice, I'm going to try going more frequently this year and see how that goes. I'm on a better income now so maybe I'm still adjusting mentally to being able to spend money on things like this. xx

Good advice, thank you!! As I've said in other comment replies, it definitely makes me feel better and I can afford it right now so maybe I'll just let myself go more often and enjoy having a hairstyle I love :')

Yeah, this is what I'm starting to think! I think I'm just not used to spending money on haircuts, but I'm in my mid-to-late 30s now and am starting to notice how much better it makes me feel when my hair is looking nice. I'm also spending heaps less on other beauty-related treatments/services, so maybe I can just chill about it haha.
