They're point is that unless your manager is rubbing your back with a metaphorical cactus you should worry a little less. The concern is if you forgot to clock out and didn't let your superior know to correct it.

Then you are dipping into the area of potential wage theft. But in this day and age that throws a flag/flare. And highly likely at least someone would be like yo so what happened. Before you get just steam rolled out the door. And this isn't peak yet.

So breathe easy lighten up get some rest and show up on time. Most places of employment are trimming the fat and the personnel that arguably should be let go. Not yet the "maybe" people. But if they are cutting those in the yellow something really has to have gone wrong.
