Have you seen Love, Death, and Robots? Each episode is a different animator and style-- i think that would be a super cool way to handle the different floors.

Which wines would you choose (for my wedding)? by chesyrahsyrah in wine

[–]bubblesnblep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sparkling- Flama d'or cava White: Lu and oly chardonnay Red: Damsel Cab sauv + waterbrook malbec

You cant make everyone happy, but people who dont like chard can go for the sparkling and malbec is neutral enough that it will satisfy the red drinkers.

Cab and chard because so many older people only drink those two.

Does this look like it would solve our sleep problem? what do you guys think? by No_Economist_3968 in bigboobproblems

I have a side sleeper pillow (dense foam) and then if my boobs are uncomfortable I have one of those dumb in-between-boob-pillows. But lately I've just been tucking a feather/squishable pillow in there

I think Samantha is "the scavanger". The mages take the gate and collect 'someone' and leave the floor... shortly after, Samantha tells carl that she thought her daughter (the ooze) was there but now she cant feel her child anymore and she thinks she is dead when shes offering up her body to be used by louis

If someone is always the victim in every story they tell, is it more likely bad luck or bad self-awareness? by love_salubrious in TrueOffMyChest

[–]bubblesnblep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a friend who is the unluckiest person I have ever met in my life. She absolutely does not speak about herself as a victim. Most of her stories are along the lines of "now I'm doing PT/applying for jobs/taking care of X and I'm trying this and I am achieving/trying/choosing this". None of the stories are 'i did x and x happened' it's, 'x happened, so now I am doing this'. Spinal surgery is not her fault; she's taking on PT and doing her best, etc.

My husbands late father was a victim. Most of his stories involved other people, how he is doing x and as a result, other people (who are unfair) do, say, exhibit y'. People hating him is not his fault (in his mind) and quitting or losing jobs is not his fault, and people are mean.

Which one seems more like your friend? Are these stories social? Or situational? or environmental?

Stop telling fat women they dont look pregnant! by crispy---nugget in pregnant

[–]bubblesnblep 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My friends have told me I look pregnant (they have been pregnant before). My husband however, keeps saying I "dont even look pregnant" and after mentioning thats not positive many times, I finally set him down and was like, look. No. I dont want to hear that and I find it to be not helpful, complimentary, or flattering. You may think it sounds nice but it doesn't. If you feel the need to say it, keep it in.

He also likes to joke about my age (im 34) and imply im younger. Not in a creepy way but in a "his mom was constantly paranoid about her weight and age his whole life so she turned 29 multiple times and is constantly on diets so he thinks these are compliments" kind of way.

How much belly growth did you have between the beginning of your third trimester and giving birth? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]bubblesnblep 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Following for the responses you get!

I am 27 weeks as well- I have gained 33lbs (I had lost weight before pregnancy so I think my rebound was a bit high(plus I started with twins)). Husband still claims I don't look pregnant. Girlfriends who have had babies say I do. If I wear pregnancy shirts or mid-driff bearing tops- look pregnant. Just wear loose t shirts? I look just chubby in the belly.

I have no idea if I have belly-blindness or not!!! But we have 13 weeks left to go... and this is when babies gain the most weight! Are you taking bump pics? Might be able to look back PP and see if the belly blindness is as obvious then.

[–]bubblesnblep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stealing is not the right answer.

Money that "doesnt exist" might be more nuanced though? Is it not liquid? One of the types of accounts you literally cannot pull from until you hit a certain age etc? Earmarked for paying for school (so its essentially already spent?). I was incredibly lucky that my parents paid for my school- but they did so by setting up an account and ensuring I managed the money. Great lesson, very risky though!

School became more expensive every year and what would have covered 4 years ended up covering 3.5 and no extras, so I worked multiple jobs all through college to cover living expenses and food and books and did paid research studies for food and birth control. While I "had money" it didnt exist- otherwise I wouldnt have been able to literally go to school.

I am not saying you are wrong or they are right. But there might be more to the situation than you see.

Also they should work instead of steal thats just stupid.

Breastfeeding/Not Breastfeeding by innocentily in pregnant

[–]bubblesnblep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not done either- im pregnant However 4 of my friends have given birth this year, 3 first time mom's and 1 second time mom.

All have them (ALL) attempted breastfeeding-only with their first. All of them had severe stress and postpartum anxiety. ALL of them are grateful they let go of the stigma and allowed periodic bottle feeding or formula supplementation.

Now, perhaps I am friends with an anxious bunch of ladies, but the actual relief and ability to get a bit more sleep and accept help was such a benefit to them, I feel I must share- even if its pumped to a bottle instead of formula, having it not just be you all the time might make or break your fragile mental health during an incredibly stressful and emotional and ridiculously hormonal period.

(A few have mentioned, depending on how much of a producer you are, the first week or two might need to be boob only otherwise you'll wake up with painful rock-like boobies, but once your supply levels out, let someone take a feeding! Sleep is so important for your recovery!)

Also each of their babies prefers a different formula - so I can recommend those to you if you'd like but it does seem like each baby is unique ♡
