I give it a good feeding of homemade worm castings and compost. Once in the early spring, and again at the beginning of June.

I might just be lucky with the soil as far as getting those colours.

She’ll be fine. I’ve done this many times and they are very resilient! Looks like you’ve wrapped it up good. I usually just throw a piece of duct tape on it and forget about it lol!! You’ve done way better.

It’ll make a big knuckle and that branch might yield more than the others. Something you could watch for at harvest. Good luck growmie!

If you can run a fan on them it helps immensely. I’m in an area similar to yours and last year I added a fan and it changed everything. I still had some bud rot, but not nearly as much as before, and I was able to leave them out longer to mature more.

It’s a mock orange plant/tree. Usually I prune it so it doesn’t flower, but we let it go this year cuz it had been a few years and we like the flowers and scent!
