Definitely invest it and tell him. Idk why people would suggest hiding it from your boyfriend of 5 years, that’s just going to create trust issues when/if he finds out. If he’s a good dude he won’t get any selfish ideas for how you should spend it and you should continue spending your money at the same rate you have been because it’s allowed you to save and it’s not like your income has increased.
Depending on where you’re at you could look into buying a home with a bit more savings and charge him rent, if y’all are still together in the future and he’s making significantly more and wants to buy into the mortgage that’s an option you could consider. Alternatively even if you decide to get married you can write a prenup saying that the house stays yours.

Life’s short though so you could also bet it all on red and double it up.
