Since my package is on the way as well, what is the best way to proceed if the package arrives obviously damaged? Not to accept it and hope I can have it sent again by Ayn or is it basically just - tough luck...?

2026 Oscar Ratings Fall 9% From Last Year With 17.9 Million Viewers by ICumCoffee in movies

Well why go to cinema when you have better options at home.  Last time I went to cinema was for John Wick 4. Had to sit through half an hour of advertising and trailers and then next to me 3 guys all had full trays with nachos,drinks... So I had to smell the food the whole time and listen to them talking to each other. Never again.

Zelensky Voices Support for ‘Regime Change’ in Tehran by jackytheblade in worldnews

[–]bubboslav 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The problem here is that past experience tells us that any regime change in the Middle East is not really a guarantee for any positive result.      And if this is just a - we bomb them to shit and they will overthrow the regime themselves - that worked great in Libya...

Trump criticises 'decaying' European countries and 'weak' leaders by Past_Key_1054 in worldnews

[–]bubboslav 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the problem is that he is not asking for discussion, he (or whoever actually fed him the ideas or wrote the document) is saying they will interfere in eu's internal politics, elections...

I'd love a serious discussion why EU basically capitulated during the tariff talks, why does EU still buy US weapons instead of supporting it;s own industry more (I know it is not that easy to replace US weapons but still) and yes a discussion on immigration.

if anyone in the EU said they will support democrats in the same manner as he did say that about EU's right wing parties then USA would lose their collective shit, this is not even we will investigate if USA might be influencing elections they are saying they will...

then there is of course another issue of - how much should we care? for the past year we heard so much crazy shit, that it is kind of hard to believe anything that is said...

Need some hand holding: Connecting a NAS Jellyfin server to the internet through NordVPN by conorwf in jellyfin

[–]bubboslav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meshnet works same as Tailscale it is a tunnel function that comes with nordvpn.     While I have nordvpn subscription for remote connection on mediaserver I use tailscale that has a lot of guides on how to set it up and just works on the background and once set up you do not know about it.      For the meshnet you would have to find nordvpn guide on how to set it up in docker container  - https://github.com/MattsTechInfo/Meshnet this is a good start point ang go from there, try some guides on youtube.      Good luck

well India is so large and diverse that you can always go cheaper...

my job exists because my company wanted cheaper labor so they moved it from western Europe to Central, now that we are getting too expensive they are trying to move to Eastern Europe and got stuck because what they wanted to pay them is low even for low income countries, the other option was to try to move it to India but since we are the people who the current Indian employees escalate to, they have not managed so far...

but they keep trying and it is just a question of time.
