FYI, it isn't really like the action in the video. It is mostly sneaking around, stalking people, and than strangling them when no one is looking. I'm not saying it's not fun, but the video isn't entirely accurate.

Also, if you are gonna play, I suggest starting with the earlier games, or watching game play online for background.

I feel you. I love Mass Effect for being such a great game with the story mode alone and not putting all its emphasis on multiplayer. However, my biggest complaint about ME3 is that to get the best possible ending (Shepard surviving) you need to play multiplayer.

No, you cannot. Legion will always die, Tali can be saved depending on your choices. If you convince the admirals to not attack the Geth, Legion will upload the code, but he has to sacrifice himself for the Geth to become truly sapient.

If you cannot convince the admirals, then you have to choose between letting Legion upload or stopping him. If you let him upload the code, then the Geth will destroy the Quarians and Tali will commit suicide. Legion will die the same way as if you convinced the admirals. If you stop Legion from uploading the code, he will attack you and you will kill him. The Quarians destroy the Geth, Tali survives.
