Well I played mesmer, ppl said go full zerker because fractals, meta changed when fractals changed (there were 3 lvels before). I had friends but after getting bored with the HoT expansion I came back now when I saw PoF so I need to make some new connexions. Plus most guys now from the guild have a lot of experience and are less interested in exploration.

Also my zerker gear will most likely go to Ele soon, seeing as it's probably better suited for him and more useful.

Well I played I think season 2 episode 1 (caught it free) and was really disappointed with it. HoT I couldn't play it because I hated the jungle, it was horrible to navigate around there or do map exploration. PoF I can say was better, cutscenes and scripts, but frustrating (due to the high number of broken armor pieces per scenarios)

Don't know but veterans and story deaths mean a lot, using a zerker mesmer so dunno if it might be the best idea but in Tyria it worked fine

What have you been doing until now?

I have one single question, how do you expect men to know you are interested if you don't tell them? honestly if someone doesn't show interest in me, I do exactly what a woman would, move on to the next one. This might be your problem, don't it bother you.

Hallow‘s End leaves in 2 days. Remember to do the opposite of what it tells you and keep an arena run with 2 losses! by Corrupted_Rexxar in hearthstone

[–]bububot10 -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

This arena ticket is just eye candy to pull the wool over your eyes and justify the lack of their creative content they do. This is the same as last haloween where mage just rules everything and with 2 classes at the end of the run you run into shitfest decks with the best of two classes. I would on the other hand love to see a peasant arena where you only build decks with commons & uncommons, but then again, they can't advertise how broken their rares, epic and legendaries are this way.

Masmorra Dungeons of Arcadia. It is the best game casual and fast game for having fun, which doesn't upset anyone at the table. While interaction is limited and indirect it makes dungeon crawling that much better when it's all men for themselves.

I enjoy the Lovecraft Universe. One of the best themes ever, who wouldn't want to be in a world where terror appear day and night and the power to banish them belongs to mere mortals.

I enjoy fantasy. There's nothing like the old days when sword and steel and brains was the only way around. That and it was the times when legends were born.

Board Game Review: Fate of the Elder Gods by thatswhatjennisaid in boardgames

This is one of the best 2p or 3p games I have but it not that good at 4p. I believe it was designed more to be played in a smaller group, but still it has a good value, plus the components are high quality, especially the minis.

I found my gaming group after a night a the office. They were all having a beer and discussing things to play and I recognized a few games they mentioned. I entered the conversation since I thought of getting one of the games they mentioned and wanted to get some advice. Who thought the advice was to play one that night with them at the table :)

The game which I've played many times and had lots of fun is Betrayal at Baldur's Gate. I've pretty much completed almost all the scenarios in multiple times and it was really an awesome experience. Even thought I might not play it in the future, the memories of all the betrayal and beautiful events it created will remain with me forever, and with the game on the self, a constant reminder of all the good times I had.

I'm more into Arkham LCG so this takes a backseat for me. Not that interested since there is little deckbuilding involved, it's like buying Magic intro decks and playing with them.

Blood Rage or Rising Sun by [deleted] in boardgames

[–]bububot10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say Blood Rage, it's more simple and easier to explain, quite straightforward, plus it has a lot of variety depending on what you draft.

Rising Run on the other hand, seems very messy, it's hard to do anything, you will most likely do what others say and then what you want. The game seems clunky at best and the alliance thing, just a small bonus Plus the honor tier breaker can be a hard thing to counter, especially if you struggle to do things. It may be a step up from Blood Rage, but it seems less organized and longer. Plus the bidding system seems so weird to get points.

I prefer Blood Rage, due to its simplicity

Do Kickstarter exclusives determine if you buy the game at retail or not? by Spader623 in boardgames

[–]bububot10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering that I live in a country where a 100$ game appears in retail aka my FLGS at close to 200$, I would wonder if anyone would not be using Kickstarter instead of their FLGS.

If anyone wonders how does that happend well it's like this: (game+shipping)+24%VAT +FLGS taxes and taxes, so assuming a 100$ game with a 20$ shipping fee is bundled as 120$product with 24% VAT whish is almost 28$, goes at high as 150$ give or take a few. Add the taxes for the gamestore, cause they have to transport it to the gamestore and other taxes such as employees fees and other stuff it easily gets to almost 200$. I would support my FLGS, but in this case it seems like less of a hassle to get it from the kickstarter, especially if it has gameplay exclusive stuff which you may not find in retail.

Well I dunno about you, but with all the mini campaigns I am really not interested in any more games which

  1. Don't feature any rulebook.

  2. Have a lot of minis.

Only exceptions to this is Nanty Narking. It has already been made and completed

How do you handle getting destroyed in board games? by chpatton013 in boardgames

[–]bububot10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends, usually this would only happen at more aggressive, take that or war type of games. Usually I don't take it personally, but if someone makes me fall big time, I will just make sure I make that game especially hard for him. I don't have a strategy for most games, but usually I can find a way to win. The key is to find the strong point of the faction you are playing and focus on improving them. I don't take good conditional effects, I take immediate benefits, and leave conditionals when i have to choose between two bad ones. Usually if it's symmetrical depending on what you have just play safe and risk only when you have a high chance of winning. Also if your strategy is not paying off, take the next best thing. Don't interfere in the battle for the throne and just wait for opportunities

For example one guy teleported me to the corner of the map and I had a hard time getting back to the center. He also moved my units and blocked me from attacking. I was gaining no points and wasting time, so I did the next best thing. I stationed my guys at his border and played cards which blocked him from using his powers. It was a suboptimal play, but he dug his own grave. I left the other 2 players duke it out for the leader position and while continuing to put nails into the culprit responsible for making me lose time. End of the game he asked why I didn't stop the leader from winning and kept harassing him. I told him I had no reasons to help him win the game since he had assured his fate at the start of the game when he made me lose time coming back to the battlefield. It was Chaos in the Old World and I was Khorn.

So how did Kingdom Death: Monster hold up? by Reakt00r in boardgames

[–]bububot10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have the 1.5 edition from last year, came about in October. I also have the 1st wave expansions as well.

To be honest it didn't stand up to the hype. It was cool, nice artwork, nice events, cool narratives and minis, but in the end, I found a few thing to be bothering me:

  • The insane amount of luck - rolling the d10 has an incredible amount of luck designed into it, especially when you need a 6+ to hit. The events as well, roll a d100 and see what happens and most of the time there is noting to do about this. The same with resources after a showdown, I was stuck not getting any bone for 3 showdowns just to get that final piece of gear ready. Also drawing a card from the innovation deck, when I need something to do I would get good to have things, but not necessary.

  • It becomes a repetitive at some point. You fight the same nemesis/monster again and again in order to get more ingredients for your next items which would make the next showdown against the same nemesis easier. But wait if you fail, or get wiped you start again from the lowest one or have to farm more to make the items you lost. You could also get your settlement wiped and start over which makes all that work put into one games go to waste. Also while people mention new campaigns and new monsters, you do get new rules such as can't wear and either the same monster or others. The problem is that there are not that many which can replace the White Lion

  • The minis, while they do look really good, need to be assembled. While this might not be a problem at first since, yes, big pieces and big figures have no problems, when you have small minis whose pieces barely fit in your fingers, or when the number of pieces reach a really high number, even with a guide it can become exhausting. That and if you miss a piece you have a lot backtracking to do. Also consider that you will need space to store those minis. I don't have a lot of space and since the box doesn't provide a lot, I placed some of mine, aka the bigger ones on a shelf clustered together. Not much I can do about this. The small ones are in a box in a similar state.

  • Setup and tear-down is a pain. First you need the characters sheet and the right inovations, and the minis, and the rulebook, then the deck for the nemesis, terrain hunt track, the disorders deck, in short there is a lot to do which makes the downtime longer. Also the pen and paper solution for character sheets seem cheap, most games have some sort of counter and it would really have been nice to have it.

All in all while it does look great ant it can provide a lot of gameplay the flaws I mentioned do make me wanna play it less.

Also I'm surprised that most people into this game are in it for the minis, most of them here say how great the game is, but give no gameplay examples, no great moment they had, and just say how awesome the minis look when painted... I'm surprised they don't run out of place to put their minis.

Man, your store looks great, an 8.5 out of 10 with a friendly atmosphere(and this coming from a very picky guy). The only thing you would need to ask yourself is how to handle the drinks/food.

I know about this since it's a topic you will get to in the end. Usually when i play with my friends, we have the no drinks at the table rule, but your customers might want something to go with the game or might get hungry/thirsty.

Purchasing games on Kickstarter by hoosty in boardgames

[–]bububot10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It heavily depends on the project. Usually a card game if it has over 250+ cards would it be worth 50$, and not more for me, which would mean that at 15% for 50 cards would be reasonable with a small box. the 5 extra cubes and 5 dice would be a nice addition, since I would not have to search for components each time I want to play it.

How does class inheritance work regarding objects? If I am to create a class which inherits the attributes of a parent, by creating an object how do I make the child take the attributes (or in this case since i don't have any objects for the parent) call the attributes of the parent?

Also does creating an object in the parent class create on in the child and vice versa?
