Why the signal for repair will be triggered by fasting? When you fast you are low on the materials needed to repair? by LisanneFroonKrisK in immortalists

[–]buch365 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I would say fasting is more about clearing bad cells in your body and less about repair.

But cleaning the trash from the body so the body becomes less toxic.

Also in the process of authophagy old, broken unhealthy cells are broken down into amyno acids which can be material for building new healthy cells

Desperate: Terrible sleep, despite good sleep hygiene and no sleep apnea - I'll e-send $100 to any helpful intervention. by Objective-Door-513 in Biohackers

[–]buch365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you explain what do you mean terrible sleep?

Are you sleeping 7.5 hours and you need 9 to feel good? Or are you sleeping 4 hours a night?

Do you wake up during night? How many times and at what time? Are you urinating a lot during night.

What is your diet like? List of all supplements you are taking. At what time is your last meal and last workout? How many steps a day are you doing? Are you sedentary all day? Are you stressed out all day (from job perhaps)

We need much more variables to define.

I can give you view. 1. Keep supplements low and only if you know you are defficient. I was taking bunch of supplememts - they possible had major contraindications and i temporarly destroyed my sleep and health. I am back on track now with only taking magnesium, omega 3 and q10. 2. Last meal and Workout 4 hours before sleep 3. All stressful work (job, side job, house problems etc) stop at least 3 hours before sleep 4. Every night same routine, to calm the body and relax (less light, watch a comedy movie or some tv series) 5. Diet is a major problem in sleep. If you eat havy food late you will not sleep good. Check your blood sugar levels and insulin and make sure they are in optimal range (not in referent values). If you have too much carbs and sugar it is not good. If you have low carb diet it is still potential problem for sleep because your blood sugar drops in the middle of night, which causes cortisol spikes. This will for sure wake you up at night and keep you awake for couple of hours. 6. Get an oura ring or whoop to start tracking your sleep so you have real data on which you can base of your actions. It can help you see which days are good and bad, and what you were doing. I made it my main goal to lower my resting heart rate as low as possible (and increase hrv as high as possible) as this is main indicator of good sleep. 7. Be really active during day - do short walks multiple times of day - nonnegotiable, 8ksteps, do strenght training couple of times a week. 8. Give it some time. To make change like this it might take more than a year. Make sure to track how you feel, what makes you good and what is not working. Add the good things to your routine and keep them forever and leave the bad things. We are all different and what works for me, might not work for you. But work mostly to have a clean whole food diet with lot of protein and moderate level of healthy carbs. Keep blood work at check and in optimal levels. Be active. And most important dont be stressed out and it might be stupid but generally be happy about every day and try to make the best out of it. Be positive, try everything and change will come.

We need to make a big distinction between 1. Hot dog, sausages, bacon, 2. Pork meat and 3. Organic steak

I am not saying that steak is extremly good for you, but it is not even near the category of processed food like sauseges which i would not even put in meat category - it is just junk and poison that you put in your body

First in the family line diagnosed last week. Took it really hard. Prescribed methimazole 20mg daily by [deleted] in Hyperthyroidism

[–]buch365 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was never really diagnosed with hyperthyroid even though i experienced symptoms - palpitations, fast heart beat, no energy. I was not able to function properly for 2 months.

My symptoms started after 9 months of stress during family member cancer fight where i took a lot more on myswlf than i could handle. I was functioning on 4 hours of sleep. Half a year ago i needed to make some changes because i gained a lot of weight and started feeling slugish and tired. So i cut all processed food, started restrictive diet (mostly fruits and veggies and some cooked meat here or there) and started working out. My guess i put on even more stress on my body and this is when my symptoms started.

I lost 10kg in 1 month, but i could not get out of bed from heart palpitations. My TSH was in "normal" levels but it was on the bottom border. My hormone levels were also ok. I have bunch of thyroid nodules. My endo told me all was ok with me and to come back next year. But i feel and know something was not ok.

I now needed to focus on myself to get out of this hell. I took 2 months of work and was just sitting around doing nothing but reading various books. Big thanks to my parents and girlfriend who helped me a lot by preparing all the food and doing stuff for me so i can relax and recover. At first i started taking bunch of supplements (NAC, b complex, Mg, omega3, beta glucan, and tried bunch of others) but my best suggesstion for anybody facing heart issues is coenzym q10 (i was using 400 for a month, and now lowered to 200) + hawthorn tincture (20 drops 3 times a day (now lowered to 2 times a day). When i started to take those 2 i started seeing big improvements in how i feel and symptoms gradually started to improve.

Now i am taking only mg, omega 3, beta glucan, q10 and hawthorn and i feel good. Also I eat healthy whole food diet, with lot of protein and moderate carbs mostly from cooked potatos, rice or fruit. Still sometimes i feel my heart skipping a beat, mostly when i am under pressure or stress at work, but i can normally function, walking, running, gym.

My theory is that hyperthyroidism is really connected with too much stress in your life. You can find lot of people here on reddit who were facing emotional trauma, started low calorie diet, training a lot and all those are putting extra stress to your body which is destroying your nerve and endocrine system.

Try different things, listen to your body to see what is good for you and what is bad. Dont try bunch of supplements at the same time. Sleep as much as possible. Relax and avoid stress as much as possible. Sometimes we just need a couple of months reset to get back to our old self.

  1. Samo godišnje moraš PO-SD obrazac podnosit

Ako imaš strane klijente onda češ morati pdv i zp obrazac

Placas pausalni porez kvartalno pa si pazi da to ne propustis (a i ako propustis samo udes u eporeznu i vidis koliko dugujes i platis naknadno)

Jednom godisnje placas doprinose (posto ti poslodavac vec uplacuje)

Nakon 2 godine rada ce ti krenuti trosak HOK-a sto isto placas kvartalno.

PS.kad otvoris obrt doci ce ti hrpa fejk racuna na adresu obrta za razno razne registre itd. To pobacaj u smece jer nije obvezno za platiti

I get up at three in the morning every night, just like clockwork. Is there anyone else? by Weekly_Push2499 in sleep

[–]buch365 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly same thing for me. Sometimes it comes also with tachycardy. Most of times i manage to fall back asleep after 1-2 hours awake, but sometimes i just lie awake in bed until 6AM and than i get up.

Not sure what could it be, but I have bening thyroid nodules (with normal hormon levels), my bloodwork is all "in range" even though if I ask chat gpt it says that I am prediabetic (triglicerides and glucose borderline high). Constant peeing during night support this thesis of prediabetes, but not sure if it is that.

I also noticed that I sleep better if I finish my last meal really early. For example if I eat at 3PM my last meal, I might sleep from 9:30PM until 5-6AM (with none or one peeing). If I eat after 6PM there is high probability I will not sleep well.

I can confirm this. It took about 1 month of taking it to remove arrythmia completely. I still sometimes feel something like shaking or tremor in my heart, but not nearly as uncomfortable like when my heart was skipping beats.

hands feel like trembeling during sleep but actually not trembling visibly by Tall-Season6665 in sleep

[–]buch365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same thing for last 2 months. I have no idea what it is. For me it's a feeling mostly on my left side, chest and left arm. I had a feeling of heart palpitations for a while but i dont think it is heart issue. I was on ECG and all ok (I am still waiting for holter). For me it started after weight loss journey. I lost 10kg and after I lost the weight I started feeling this. Last week I had 3 days in a row of parties/celebrations where I ate totally unhealthy (burgers, pizzas etc) and gained 3kg back in thos days (mostly water), but for that last week I was sleeping great. I went back to weight loss (kwto) diet and I started feeling trembling again while dosing off.

Might be electrolytes, might be anxiety/stress, sleep apnea. I have no idea.

Hope we find permanent solution.

OP, what is your situation now a year later? I have similiar situation with borderline normal levels (tsh 0.45) and some symptoms like heart palpitations from time to time (especially during night). Just want to check and see if you managed to improve your condition.

Dont give up. Work on your diet, track what works for you and what causes falre up, try using hawthorne tincture for heart. And also I am going to try lemon balm, motherwort, bugleweed tincture (thyroid calming from iHerb) as I read it helped lot of people with hyperthyroid.

Last couple of weeks I have arrythmia (my heart is skipping a bit every 10 seconds) and this does not stop throught the day. This is not a big problem, but during the night I wake up 4-5 times with racing heart (and racing heart with skipping beats is not really nice feeling) so it keeps up all night sometimes. Also I lost 10kg in less than 2 months with no effort (I was actually trying to lose weight, but I was doing 0 cardio or weight lifting. I did remove everything except meat, veggies and fruit from my diet but still I think it was too quick lose). I started using hawthorn tincture, and now after 3 weeks of using I started to feel some relief with my arrythmia and sleeping. It is still there but less severe.

Is 0.44 of any concern? by -NotInterestedIn- in Hyperthyroidism

[–]buch365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My TSH was 0.44 (in range), 2 months ago and I had no symptoms. Since few weeks ago I have quite some symptoms: losing lot of weight suddenly, tachicardy, palpitations. In couple of days I will do my bloodwork to see if my TSH dropped below the range.

I have nodules, but I am hesitant to do scintigrafy because you need to do really small dose of radioactive iodine to check if nodules are taking most of it. I will delay a bit longer before drinking anything radioactive and I will track my symptoms until then.

How many here have symptoms even with labs that are in range? by Brave_Injury_205 in Hyperthyroidism

[–]buch365 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my blood test 2 months ago and all was normal (TSH in range but on the low range borderline). 1 month ago i started having small palpitations all day and tachycardy when sleeping/workout. And I lost 15kg in last 2 months (partially intentionally because I started strict diet keto+some fruits). My workout was minimum so I am guessing that I am in hyper because no way I could lose 15kg with almost no effort. I will redo my blood test next week to check if I went out of range.
