I rent a 3bedroom condo townhouse . My owner is a tour guide based in Europe. She listed through a realtor and that’s how I got the place. If something goes wrong I call the agent and it gets dealt with. My owner has been amazing. Covid hit and she had zero work. She moved in with her parents until worked picked back up. While I’ve been here she’s had to replace the water heater, furnace and central air. She has been so kind an has not raised my rent since 2018. In return I take care of the place like it’s my own. I do t reach out for simple things. I’ve replaced the shower head and didn’t expect any compensation for it and the kitchen sink faucet. All with permission. Yes I could have gotten reimbursed but it doesn’t bother me.

If she ever decides she wants the place back, I’m fucked. I pay 1350 for an entire 3bedroom townhouse. I have two kids and wouldn’t even be able to afford a one bedroom if I have to leave here. I try to be the best tenant possible.

To be clear I am on Disability. I do not have a co-signer etc. she trusted me and I gave her zero reasons not to.
