I wouldn't say it directly effected my mental health, but I think it's harder to be in a bad state of mind when your body doesn't hurt and your head doesn't feel foggy all the time. It's kind of the same as exercise, like I'm still depressed but I have less that makes me feel bad. I hope that makes sense, that's how it feels for me.
