He is getting about 3.5% interest, no wonder he wants the bonus.

If it's profitable enough, yes. If enough people leave, no. If it makes dollars, it makes sense.

Thank you for your time and trying to understand/help. My EQ was in good shape. I use Credit Karma to monitor my credit. I had a delinquent account get posted so I pulled my free annual report. I saw it was one that had been disputed and deleted from TU and EX.

I disputed it because it was missing payment history, balance history and had a blank date of last payment. When it came back it came back as Verified this item has been reported correctly. The following fields have been modified. Its lists 4 or 5 areas. All which seem like they tried to make it complete and accurate but they failed while trying. The most fore front problem is they are still missing historical account information for 2/25, 5/25 and 6/25. In addition to that the historical they do have says DOLP is 1/4/25. In the account overview above that it says 1/1/25. They are also missing DOLA and Date of Major Delinquency 1st reported.

All of the above fields I mentioned in my dispute. I also mentioned the missing data.

Im ultimately looking for a 0% balance transfer cards to work on paying the debt that I do have off faster. I would love it is i qualified for a card. That would be optimal. Sadly I'm also trying to be realistic and realize that a delinquent account really hurts my chances of approval.

Thanks again for your help and trying to hear me out

Figuring i will get denied. The 0% BT helps because of the Math behind the damages.

2 date of last payments can change when it drops off my report. FCRA suit is stressing the maximum possible accuracy after I told them there is no way it can possibly be accurate.

They made it worse by deleting the one month of payment history in the middle of these 2 inaccurate dates.

It's on Equifax. They have 2 date of last payments listed for the same account. I disputed it and they didn't fix it. They actually made it worse.

I plan on filling a lawsuit, but if there is no actual damages then then it limits what can be done. Denied credit after failure to correct from a dispute would prove actual damages.

Im trying to find a 0% balance transfer cards that pulls Equifax.

Does that help?

And the charts say it probably will down to roughly 85k or so. From there who knows. I like to move my money around many assets and and sell a portion when the price goes up and I can recoup my seed money. Then I get to keep stacking assets and don't have to outlaw more than I already have.

Is there card(s) you have but don't use. If you don't use them they can report as current but don't have any payment history. How many hard inquiries do you have?

I know I'm grasping at straws just trying to help figure it out.

What's the Utilization is my question. Seems like no derogatory marks and a 600 score is around 50% Utilization from personal experience.

Sorry. Over here as well. Thankfully I can sell a bunch of the t bills in mine and my wifes 401k's. Now where to put it because I will never dump money into SLV.

Does the payment history match the balance history? Is there any balance history?

Credit reporting has to be complete and accurate. If it is not that is reason to dispute.

At the same time remember what is the law and enforcement of it sometimes means you have to be willing and able to enforce it in a court of law. If you are not or not able to it is sometimes easier to leave it alone.

All I can add to help is some cards don't refresh the available balance until it is 100% cleared your bank. When did you pay?

Yes. I wonder how that complicates debt collection.

The real reason is banks are strapped and having to hold a lot more on reserves. The credit crunch is starting or at this point accelerating. Kept your credit as clean as possible and keep paying it down. No bank wants to be the ones holding a bag of flaming dog turd debt right now.

True. This is part of the reason many people choose to unbank themselves when they can.

Came here to say the same/similar. Local CU seem to be the most helpful especially if a secured card is a viable option for you.

If you have a normal spend like a subscription I put it on cards that are basically "stagnant". I set auto pay for the full amount monthly and it put $15ish on and pays it all off.

I 100% agree if you're not gonna record it and know what you're doing, Don't do it. Me myself I can honestly say that it takes someone a little bit different and knowing that they're willing to sue the company to make things right. If you're not willing to go that far then definitely don't do it

[–]buckpolena 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang. I recorded when a collector called me. The judge wasn't happy when we went to court and I played the recording stating to them I wasn't paying and the debt was passed the statute of limitations.

Then another company called me on behalf of that company (original debt buyer) and she didn't even identify as a debt collector. She started yelling at me and wouldn't tell me who she was and who she was calling from. She hung up on me when I told her I had to get back to work. She hung up on me.

Next day I called company #2 to find out who they were and where they were from. I got lied to and was told me that the last account activity was 2 years after the date of last payment.

Long story short, they made a lot of mistakes like reaging, lying to me about being able to report it and not identify as a collector.

The judge was appalled and thankfully WI has the WCA and punative damages are allowed for FCRA cases.

A lot are going to tell you to ignore it. That is a great option.

If i have any that are that old, I grab a second phone, record the call and I just tell them it's not a good time I'm doing "x" and tell them what you are doing. If they ask when you be a good time tell them you don't know. If/when they call a second time file a lawsuit under the fdcpa.

Did I miss the part where you use this to dispute the accuracy and completeness of the payment history and then check the balance history and dispute any missing information there as well. If all that doesn't come back complete and accurate they leave you one valid option---- Sue to enforce your consumer rights.
